23.01.2022 HEAR YE, HEAR YE 2020 I can't be hating on you cos you've been one of the best damn years of my life I set free a 20 year dream and launched MARRY ME ZOE in my finest *if not now, then when* moments. "Crazy good, no boring bits" was the little mantra that led the way through all the exhilarating highs, unexpected surprises, scary lows, and heart stopping bends that you threw my way with a force I did not see comin'.... I got to witness lovestruck humans declare they were ALL IN; together we were moved to tears, cackled through the funny bits of their story and marveled at the sweet moment of serendipity that had them stumble upon each other in a sea of billions. Cos of you 2020, I got to meet 80 joy-seeking couples who heard the magical sound of us clicking in IRL and on my new bestie Zoom. My vibe attracted the tribe of my wildest dreams. And without you, I would have never met the BEST wedding creatives; happy humans doing what they were born to do. Shout out to @cjpicture_au for this cool snap. 22.01.2022 MITCH + STEPH 4 EVER It all went down in Year 6, when Mitch's arrival at his new school rocked the playground. "Who's thaaaaat?" everyone swooned as he walked through the gates. But no-one swooned harder school captain Steph. There was something about the way Mitch wore his shell necklace and spiked his blonde curls that had Steph crushing fast and all over the place. But it was in high school when Mitch upgraded his spikes to an emo fringe and started a band, that sparks ...really began to fly... And those same sparks dazzled and danced on their wedding day Steph loves Mitch because he's a shimmy assassin, keeps the chocolate coming and makes her laugh all day long. Mitch loves Steph because she gets him bubble gum ice cream with nerds, writes cute love notes and is the most beautiful person he's ever known. I love them because they are high on life and drunk on love. And because the way they're holding onto each other and looking at me tell their love story story makes me feel all giddy. 17.01.2022 A KICKASS STAYLOPEMENT Jack and Christina shimmy and stomp to the beat of their own drum. Which is why their ceremony was like no other. There was no *do you take....as your husband/wife*. Standing their in their finest threads, it was pretty obvious they were a sure thing. ... They rocked a quiz instead, answering profound questions like: "Christina, Do you know Jack's favourite movie? She did and so she said * I Do * For this reason and many more... I could not love these two any harder. They walked through the hood to their ceremony like badasses, finding awesome walls along the way. They made it official at their fave @continentaldeli with cocktails in a can. Best bouquet ever - sunflowers and natives by @persephone.creative The guests were part of the action. They picked their witnesses using little heart - shaped cards. They exchanged vows and rings at home as Bowie the cat looked on. 13.01.2022 LISTEN UP: WEDDINGS ARE TWO - FACED There's your face, as modelled by Jack and Christina on their very cool elopement day. Gorgeous, having a ball, reliving the clearly very hilarious moments when it all began. And then there's my face. Not gorgeous. Cos I've gone all method, and in the zone, recreating said hilarity for Jack and Christina and their delightful guests to enjoy. ... Cos that's what I do. There were a whole lotta sweet reveals when Lanna and Owen jumped on board the love train to forever town, but this one right here...this one was the biggest smile-spreading, heart-leaping, joy-injecting one of all. ... The look on their faces just says it all really; that's the kinda hearts on fire love that makes you wanna write a story and tell it to the world. And so I did just that. It had twists, it had tumbles, it had gut-wrenching farewells and it had the most delicious reunions ever. And best of all, they were happy; the kind of happy that makes you go all funny. 08.01.2022 WALKING ON SUNSHINE AND DON’T IT FEEL GOOD Feast your weary eyes on these bright shiny humans! They made it official one fine Thursday morn' with sand between their toes, sun on their shoulders and a tonne of happy in their hearts! Rachael and Ben gathered their faves and blew us away with vows that were as raw as they were beautiful. They made a little love bubble and just went for it, laughter and tears a'flowin'.... We kicked it back old school; no mic, no music, no decorations. We figured the sand, sea and sunshine would carry the day and they did not disappoint. How freaking amazing, right? I had a goofy grin permanently plastered on my face the whole time I was writing their ceremony. ... Their vows brought the house down; they were real and they they were raw. They picked 2 faves for some legendary cheerin' and witnessin'. 05.01.2022 BEC AND GAVIN are the coolest in the land. So no freaking wonder their elopement was a cocktail of chilled vibes, sequins and free flowin' laughter. Dressed to thrill, their day began with a wander through Newtown, on the way to their wedding in a record/cocktail bar. A few drinks, some vinyl browsing and then it was time to say Hell Yeah to forever.... Cos this is Barney's world and we're just living in it His mum and Dad, Andrew and Kayla, are delicious humans who make each other laugh on the reg. So when Gladys said no dance floor, we said no problem Gladys! We brought the party vibe with epic trivia rounds ( from music to movies to matrimony), a little ol shoe game and a bit of... a singalong with the fabulous @kaylensrain band.
