25.01.2022 Unless you’ve lived it, it’s impossible to fully comprehend the weight of being in a significant relationship that isn’t recognised by Australian law. As ludicrous as it is, this was Matt + Anthony’s reality for much of their 15 year union... And then yesterday, they tied the knot bathed in golden light, surrounded by lavender, friends, family and a fair dose of party spirit. Emotions were high, and rightly so, but with the tears came equal doses of laughter and three goes at... the first kiss (just in case the photographer missed it the first time... nice one Matt + Anthony )! It really was a magical occasion, one I won’t be forgetting any time soon. Thank you, thank you, thank you x ‘Cassie is part of our family now! She is warm, charismatic, engaging and thoroughly professional. Cassie provided us with an overview of the options and styles of weddings and even variations on vows. She provided suggestions on how to include our daughter in the c...eremony as well. She crafted a wonderful ceremony for us that was tailored so beautifully for our story. She held our guests from the minute she started speaking and made them both laugh and cry with her beautiful words! So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to . It had nothing to do with the venue or food but all down to the ceremony and Cassie's amazing ability to marry us while engaging our guests. We would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Cassie for weddings and events when you need a guiding hand, creative head and a genuine warm heart. 16.01.2022 On Friday afternoon a little dream was realised when I had the honour of performing a ceremony at Stones of the Yarra Valley for Jenny and Ash, an awesome couple who were just so fun and easy to work with. The venue was all I ever imagined it would be - sublime. 13.01.2022 THE BEST PART OF MY JOB | It’s a tough one to pinpoint but the days and weeks after a wedding when beautiful words appear in my inbox, accompanied by photos... well that’s pretty special. I rarely get a photo with the couple on the day, it feels like an intrusion to ask, but on this occasion the gorgeous Annie requested one and I am so grateful. Then to receive a note of thanks, from THE HUSBAND Tom, was so awesome. Sorry gents, but 99.9% of the time it’s the ladies who ...send the thanks, Tom may just be the first! Here’s what he had to say: ‘I want to say a big thank you for marrying us on the weekend, we didn't even get to say goodbye to you!! We had a blast and everyone was so complimentary of the ceremony which is obviously a massive credit to yourself. 01.01.2022 I married this beautiful pair just before life changed in a way we could never have foreseen. It was early March and this turned out to be the last wedding I officiated during the old ‘normal’. Kristin and Rob were a dream to deal with from start to finish. They were so incredibly relaxed and sure in their love for one another... everything just flowed from there. My overwhelming memory of the day was of joy, family and laughter. There was rain (never what you wish for) but ...it fell in a mist that made the whole vineyard glisten, the greens were more vibrant and the setting so intimate.
