25.01.2022 KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION 2 We were SO excited to again welcome our wonderful 2021 Kindergarten Students today for their second orientation at Marsden Park Public School! We had a beautiful time engaging in fun learning experiences which included a visit to the sandpit and chickens today! We look forward to seeing you again next week!

24.01.2022 Wow, today was out of this world! It was awesome to see so many students and staff arriving this morning wearing their amazing space themed costumes. Thank you to all the parents and visitors for supporting our space day, so great to see you all sharing a picnic on the oval. A huge thank you to Mrs Prot for organising such an amazing day.

23.01.2022 On Thursday Stage 2 students competed in a fantastic Spelling Bee Competition. There were 4 finalists from each class that competed (two from yr3 and two from yr 4). All the competitors were amazing and impressed all the teachers! Our winners on the day were: From Year 4: 1st Place: Ben Thangamani, 2nd Place: Manav Shah, 3rd Place: Khubaib Atif Ben had to spell the words netball, anthem, yellowstone, resplendent, hyperbola and affirmative to win! From Year 3: 1st Place: Dani...el Carlota, 2nd Place: Yalini Rajaganapathy, 3rd Place: Siyam Kabir Daniel had to spell the words army, model, duplicity, astronomy and pneumonia to win! We have some amazing spellers at MPPS and we encourage everyone to keep up the super effort! See more

22.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE As you may be aware a school in our local area has been impacted by Covid-19. We have been advised that Marsden Park Public School will be operational as usual. Any close contacts with confirmed Covid-19 cases will be contacted by NSW Health. ... In accordance with advice from NSW Health, parents and carers are reminded not to send their child to school if they are unwell, even if they have the mildest Flu like symptoms. Students absent from school due to flu like symptoms need to be tested and must not return to school until they return a negative Covid-19 result. After participating in the online Writers Festival in Week 2, 2B students have been working independently on passion projects to create their own picture book. Congratulations to these talented author-illustrators who have published their stories!

19.01.2022 Last week we held our Jump Off for Jump Rope for Heart. Here are some photos of kindy participating in activities. We have raised almost $5000 for the the Heart Foundation. There is still time to donate! All donations must be made online and need to be in by Friday 18th to ensure that the correct prizes can be ordered. Well done to the amazing skippers that have raised this huge amount of money for vital research.

This survey is an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to give feedback to the school about many aspects of our school including teaching and learning opportunities, the school environment and our extra-curricular activities. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes and we encourage all of our parents to complete this to ensure we have input from our community each year. 08.01.2022 Our students are super excited watching JME Excavations working hard to create our brand new carpark! We were so fortunate to watch the very BIG truck tipping loads of road base across the road and collecting loads of dirt with the excavator! Mr Truck Driver even waved to us at the fence We had a great time and look forward to the completion of our carpark!

From 2:30-3:30 parents may visit the fair providing they have booked a time. Purchases can be made online, with cash or eftpos. Happy Reading everyone.

06.01.2022 Just a reminder that Year 5 and 6 Camp Day notes and money are due in at the end of this week. The cost of this incursion is $95. This will include breakfast, Survivor team gear, challenge facilitators, sport and building equipment, lunch, afternoon tea and medals for the winning team. If you are experiencing any difficulty in paying this amount, please speak to Mrs Morwood or Mrs Calder urgently. We can't wait for this amazing day of teaching students team, leadership and sportsmanship skills.
