25.01.2022 G’day Bears family, hope everyone’s keeping safe and looking forward to cricket kicking off next weekend! Firstly, we’d like to thank the Collendina Cobras Cricket Club for their help with our preseason fixtures. To loan us the ground for the day a couple of Saturday’s ago and to then get together and play against us last weekend was much appreciated and was great to see the bond between our two clubs grow stronger! The offseason has also been fantastic as it has allowed us t...o go and recruit not only some fantastic cricketers to the club but some great blokes as well. These players will only add to the strong depth pool that we already have at Marshall and ensure we’re right up the pointy end of the table again! As a club we’d like to announce our captains for the upcoming season and at the same time, thank our outgoing captains for the wonderful on field contributions they’ve made to us over many years. 1st XI: Corey Walter 2nd XI: Cameron Fletcher 3rd XI: Nathan Rawlings 4th XI: TBA 5th XI: Jarrod Falvey and Ash Lewis Our season kicks off next week with our 1’s (Away), 2’s (Home), and 3’s (Away) all taking the field against Geelong City in what we’re sure will be a great test and give us a strong indication of where we’re at. Playing memberships are now available through the mycricket app, any issues with this please message Hayden Forssman and he’ll be able to assist. Social memberships will eventually go on sale, we’re still in the process of figuring how many people we can house for a few drinks on a Saturday and as soon as we do, you’ll hear about it here. Looking forward to a season like no other, and hope it brings with it some success! Go Bears!

23.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: The club is thrilled to announce the addition of Tom Beasley to our playing squad for the upcoming 20/21 season. Tom is a right arm off-spin bowler and a right hand batsmen. The club looks forward to seeing Tom on the field as well as at training, sharing his knowledge and skills from these experiences. Lets give Tom a Marshall welcome... Go Bears

22.01.2022 Round 7 Teams We’ve dug right back into the archives to find this weeks photo of Stuart W Blythe & Jake Hilton opening the batting together back in early 2016 against Waurn Ponds! Grades and venues listed on each team sheet.... Go Bears

22.01.2022 T20s are upon us With a beautiful 26 degrees forecast for Tuesday, what better excuse to come down to Marshall and watch the boys take on Modewarre and enjoy a cold beer or two!

21.01.2022 Game Day Round 13 is upon us as the top three grades take on St Peters with the Firsts and Thirds at home and the Seconds away. The fourths take on Torquay at Deakin University Lakeside Oval.... With three very good wins last Saturday, we head into this round with plenty of momentum with the firsts and thirds looking to strengthen their position in the top 4 and the seconds needing to win and have things go their way to make it but still a chance! Best of luck to everyone, Go Bears!

The Fourth XI couldn’t get the job done against our neighbours from over the fence, going down to South Barwon by 42 runs.... The resumption of our Fifth XI team after 4 years off was a winning affair, with the boys accounting for St Albans Breakwater by 23 runs. This Saturday will see the top three grades line up against our old rival Bell Park, with the fourths taking on Grovedale and the fifths taking on Waurn Ponds/Deakin. Best of luck to all teams, Go Bears!

21.01.2022 Congratulations to Nathan Rawlings and our 3rd XI on making the big dance this weekend. I know the boys would appreciate as much blue and gold as possible as they take on St. Peter’s this Saturday. Go bears

The thirds also succumbed to a washout with the 3 points keeping them second on the ladder as well. The fourths also received 3 points thanks to a washout against Geelong City. 09.01.2022 Hello to all of our Marshall family! We hope everyone is keeping safe and looking out for one another as we tackle this global pandemic. We know how tough it is for everyone out there during these unprecedented times and especially how difficult it can be even at the best of times for people that are running their own business. Over the next couple of weeks, well be promoting all of the sponsors that help support our great club. Without their help and support, we wouldnt be... where we are today. So keep an eye out for these posts and most importantly, share the post around and go and jump on the companies Facebook page and give them a like.
