19.01.2022 It's important to get onto issues before they turn into bigger issues. Mitsubishi Pajero. Blocked DPF sent from another shop. Attempted to do reburn. Ran for 1.5hrs unsuccessfully. Could not regenerate. Investigate further. Found melted DPF. And temperature probe. Spoke to the customer, this was replaced less than 2 years before. Did some further investigation and found the inlet manifold blocked from the EGR. This would have caused low airflow, Overfuelling and high exhaust gas temperatures. Better to fix the small problems before they become big and very expensive problems.

18.01.2022 1KD-FTV Leaking injector seals can cause major engine damage. This is a blocked oil pickup off a late model prado. 2 injector washers were leaking. I Recommended to the customer the pickup be checked. Lucky we did. Could have cost an engine rebuild due to no oil pressure. 6 weeks is how long the car was running rough according to the customer.

11.01.2022 Contaminated diesel in modern common rail fuel systems can be costly. This fuel was drained from a 2016 mercedes motor home fuel filter. Vehicle had done only 6000km.It Cost well over $10000 in parts alone to fix. Its critical to fit prefilters and change your fuel filter every service

07.01.2022 Live data on scan tools can be invaluable to troubleshoot faults. Had a Ford transit with stalling issues when hot no fault codes. Checked fuel supply and leak off and could not fault the system ran the vehicle until it stalled and checked live data for fuel pressure. Fitted new suction control valve. Problem solved. Photos of fuel pressure at idle. Before and after.

04.01.2022 Mitsubishi Triton. Pretty standard looking inlet manifold off a 3.2 triton. All the carbon from the EGR and oil from the breather cakes up causing boost issues and a mid range flutter. A good clean out in the ultrasonic cleaner brings them back like new.

02.01.2022 YD 25 navara timing chain left too long. Metal from the worn chain and broken teeth damaged the oil pump. All the metal and plastic from the broken guide in the tray came out of the pickup screen.Can not believe this engine hadn't failed.
