20.01.2022 As we prepare to return to in-person classes in MarShere studios across Melbourne from tomorrow and into the following weeks, we can't help but reflect on how grateful we are to our "family". From our dancing community of students, right through to our teachers and staff - the support and care that has been demonstrated right through this very difficult period, for not only ourselves but towards each other, has been nothing short of amazing. We are so thankful and are looking forward to seeing everyone. #Marshere #wereallinthistogether #melbourne #dancestudio #ballroomdancing #dancer

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Rosy & Tim on this beautiful wedding featured on Polkadot Wedding . 19.01.2022 The weekend is almost here and the weather is not looking great for our (one hour) of exercise time outside... We're planning a big weekend in with some MarShere online dance classes on the agenda and maybe another round of trying to find the perfect banana bread recipe. What are you planning for the weekend?

16.01.2022 One of our favourite parts of our teaching is helping couples put together a first dance for their weddings. Thanks to Bridal Expos Australia for the mention.

16.01.2022 It's been a great week so far... our 12th donut day and the return of in-studio dancing. We're looking forward to what the coming weeks bring. #wereallinthistogether #covidopening #melbourne #marshere

15.01.2022 One of the greatest joys for dancers is being able to perform to live music...

15.01.2022 We are so excited to be able to open the doors to our studios again, we have always taken pride in the cleanliness of our studios but with Covid-19 Safety plans in place there are a number of extra initiatives we introduced to MarShere to help keep our teachers, students and visitors as safe as possible during this time. 15.01.2022 Melbourne has taken to wearing masks in the most "Melbourne" way possible. "Just make it fashion!" seems to be the theme of our newest restrictions and we've seen every variant of mask we can think of. From unicorn, leopard prints, the ever classic plain black and we've even some fully crystal numbers for those not content to leave the Swarovski just on the dance floor. There are so many super talented, super stylish, and just plain creative members of our dance family we thought it would be fun to see what masks you're wearing this Winter 2020 season. Show us your masks in the comments below! #weareallinthistogther #MarSherefamily

15.01.2022 One of the most basic motives of dance is the expression and communication of emotion.

14.01.2022 Another fantastic weekend with more zero's on the scoreboard for Victoria and we've been granted the easing of a few more restrictions. As a group we're thrilled to be seeing the "light at the end of the tunnel" and can't wait to get back dancing as normally as possible, but we're not quite there yet. This weekends announcement has allowed some additional numbers into studios which is fantastic and some of those students wanting to join in specific classes that were previo...usly booked out should get in touch with their studio principals as soon as possible. As all signs are looking very positive at the moment that restrictions will ease further into December and beyond make sure you keep in touch with your local MarShere studio to find out what is happening in your studio. #marshere #COVID19 #weareallinthistogether #melbourne

13.01.2022 While our MarShere competition season got interrupted this year by Covid-19 and social distancing rules, the MarShere team is looking forward to being able to plan the return of competitions and our social events in the future.

11.01.2022 A beautiful waltz for a cold afternoon...

09.01.2022 Dancers will find a way to dance...

09.01.2022 MarShere Dance Studios are dedicated to creating the safest place possible for our students to learn, socialise, and have fun. In line with the government "Return to Play" guidelines, each studio will have nominated Covid-19 Marshals. Each Marshal has completed a government-provided training course and are in studios to help ensure that all infection control measures are in place, effective records of attendance and cleaning kept and social distancing is occurring with as little disruption to classes as possible. #returntoplay #Marshere #covidopening #covidsafe #reopening #dancestudio #melbourne

08.01.2022 With just a fraction over a fortnight till spring arrives, we're already seeing the blue skies peeking through and the blossom on the trees outside getting prepared to burst into spectacular displays. What are you most looking forward to with warmer weather?

07.01.2022 The weekend has arrived and it looks like it's going to be an awesome one... even if we are still stuck in our own houses. Our MarShere teachers are still producing some fantastic classes to keep you occupied during our round 2 lockdown. If you're interested in trying something new or making a return to dance get in touch and we can get your started.

06.01.2022 As our classes return to in-person-in-studio, we are encouraging our students to use contactless payment methods where possible to minimise cash handling and help us protect our staff and students. #weareallinthistogether #covidopening #COVID19 #marshere #melbourne #dance #ballroomdance

06.01.2022 We're a little lost for words at what the Victorian Government announcements mean for us. It will be a little while longer before we can get back to dancing in our studios again (but we've got some amazing classes planned when we can). We want to take this opportunity to thank our teachers and principals for the amazing work they are doing bringing online content to students, as well as our students and members for taking part in our classes, social activities, and online get-togethers. Many of you have reached out to us over the last few months and we're so grateful to the support you've shown us during this very difficult period. If you wish to join in with classes and online events at your local studio please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

04.01.2022 Hello Monday! We're into another week of #isodance in Melbourne and our MarShere studios have some great classes planned. We would love to know what classes are you most looking forward to this week?

04.01.2022 With the allowance of some extra freedoms announced, and a burst of sunshine things are looking up for dance studios today. Outdoor "personal training" will be allowed with up to 2 people per trainer (within your 5km), contact your local studio to see what they have on offer during this next stage.

03.01.2022 Get up and grab your partner around the waistdancing (even if that dancing is confined to your living room at the moment) is the perfect activity to strengthen your relationship. And according to experts, it has a whole host of wellness benefits, making it the perfect way to feel close to loved ones. Check out this article from My Domaine listing 7 fantastic reasons to dance with your partner or spouse. https://www.mydomaine.com/dance-with-spouse-connecting-in-m

03.01.2022 Today is #RUOKDay. R U Ok have some fantastic resources on their website to help navigate this sometimes difficult conversation. Check in with at least one person today and ask R U OK? https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask

03.01.2022 The sun is shining and while we have a little while longer before we can be back in the studio dancing once again, we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you to our students and members for your support, we can't say enough to describe just how appreciative we are. #marsheredancestudios #springtime #dance

02.01.2022 Staying motivated to keep moving, dancing and exercising during this isolation period can be difficult. We would love to know what is helping you through these very challenging times; tell us in the comments below.

02.01.2022 If you're finding it difficult to stay motivated when taking dance classes at home, why not invite a friend to train with you (virtually of course!) Having a dance buddy will keep you much more accountable to tuning in to your classes. You could even organise some private lessons with a friend and your MarShere teacher via Zoom. Spending time connecting with friends will give you even more to look forward to on class days.

02.01.2022 Oh we're jivin' alright! What a dance, Nelly!

02.01.2022 We wish all the MarShere mums the very best on Mother's Day. Thank you for everything you do to keep us dancing. #marshere #mothersday #dancemums #dancemom #getdancing

01.01.2022 We certainly live in a world that looks very different to 12 months ago, but it's never been more important to stay connected to each other. We share a love of dance and while it might not be possible to go to our studios and meet in person and connect physically, in the way we would prefer, that love of dance is still there. Turn up the music, or tune in to an online class and just dance.

01.01.2022 We love a good Google Easter Egg (Does anyone remember the Wizard of Oz one? It's still around if you haven't already found it).

01.01.2022 We've seen some creative solutions to keeping your dance partner 1.5 metres away but this is taking it to a new level. Check out this collaboration with denim brand G-Star Raw and the Dutch National Ballet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx-ef3U5qN0

01.01.2022 The sun is out and the trees have already started blooming. Everything looks just a bit better on the first day of spring.
