24.01.2022 Hello all, Another step closer to getting back to normal. We are currently seeking some written clarification on how the new rules really apply to partner dancing. There are some conflicts within the wording that isn’t yet clear.... As soon as we know more we will pass it on. For this week classes only will remain in place, and contact during classes will be undertaken if you wish. Keep up the good work everyone and we will be back to normal very soon!!

06.01.2022 What a year 2020 has been.... There have been a few changes over the past months of lockdown. Some dance studios have closed others have changed allegiances or moved locations, we look forward to opportunities that will present themselves in the future. MarShere Ringwood is proud to still be in operation and have been for over 16 years. ... The first week back with clients and the current restrictions saw 22 people through the door and will grow from here! We also have had some changes in personnel. Firstly a big thank you to Peter and Carolann Rouse who have stepped down from their positions as amateur staff and receptionist. We cannot express enough gratitude for their assistance over the past several years. Meredith Lawson has temporarily moved to Queensland to take an opportunity with a hotel as part of a hospitality course. Meredith will return next year. We would also like to introduce to you Barry and Vanessa Davy who will join our wonderful teaching group. Barry and Vanessa have a wealth of experience in both teaching and competing, and have run their own business BV dance. Between them both they have over 55 years dancing and teaching experience. They came together as a dancing partnership over 10 years ago which turned into a life partnership. As current professional competition dancers they have won numerous titles across Australia in Standard, Latin and New Vogue. They are both fully qualified Level 2 teachers in the MarShere system and also qualified with DanceSport Australia and hope to complete their training to become ADS Adjudicators in Standard & New Vogue in the future. Hopefully the next few weeks will see a major easing of restrictions and we get back to our normal routine! In the mean time stay safe and look out for each other!

04.01.2022 Beginning tomorrow night, Tuesday 8th December, will see a normalization of our classes and social. Tuesday 7:00pm Silver Bar Latin (Samba and Rumba) and Bronze Bar Latin (Samba and Rumba) 7:30pm Gold Swing, Bronze Street Latin (Salsa and Swing) and Beginners... Thursday 7:00pm Silver Bar Modern (Waltz and Tango) and Silver Bar Street Latin (Mambo and Argentine Tango) 7:30pm Bronze Bar New Vogue (Tracie-Leigh and Charmaine), Bronze New Vogue (Merrilyn and Tangoette) and Beginners The limitations... As we cannot maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres masks are required to be worn during the social and yes we will be doing progressive dancing as well. There will be an extra break throughout the night to allow everyone to catch their breath. Sanitize your hands regularly. 25 clients maximum in the studio - bookings are essential at this stage. The people already attending the classes over the past few weeks are taken into account so we have room for 12 others. Please get in early if you need to stretch the legs. We look forward to seeing as many as possible from now on.
