25.01.2022 More on our very special guest at the next Cargo Club Lunch. Prof Geoff Blainey is Australia’s pre-eminent historian and an author of over 35 books. He has been Chair or a member of a wide ranging number of Australian Government and other institutional Boards, including the Australia Council, the University of Ballarat, the Australia-China Council, the Commonwealth Literary Fund and the Australian War Memorial and the Ian Potter Foundation. He held the Chairs in economic hist...ory and history at the University of Melbourne for over 20 years. In 2000 Prof. Blainey was named a Companion of the Order of Australia He is a Geelong Football Club supporter but don't hold that against him.... To that end, the innovative Marsh Foundation is holding the First, yes the FIRST Christmas Party for 2020!! Drinks, Food and Music (yes the Marsh Foundation has a resident band, Madd Lipps)...
