27.01.2022 Very tidy job completed today in Diamond Creek. Nice cross between formal and native in a bush setting. Relaxed living with space for the kids.
25.01.2022 Final day at our Plenty project. We could not be happier with this ‘pretty as a picture’ garden. We just know this home owner will look after our baby. Can’t wait to see it’s progress over the years to come.
24.01.2022 Exposed Agg’ Fridays! Finished up the paths and drainage in Brunswick yesterday. Will certainly help air flow under the house and water collection to help stop this 80 year old home with shaky knees moving.
19.01.2022 Been a bit jealous of JM Landscapes posts lately of water edge properties, thought I’d fire back!! Lake Nagambie at its finest.
18.01.2022 Want that wet look on your paving? Dry Treat Color Enhancing Sealer in action on flamed granite in Diamond Creek. 5 year warranty. Ask for more details...
15.01.2022 All systems go in Templestowe. Exposed aggregate concrete, bluestone paving and bluestone steppers all going down today.
14.01.2022 A ‘rocky’ start to the year. A lovely Coldstream rock wall in Doreen followed by a Bluestone ‘end wall’ for Melbourne Water.
05.01.2022 Day one of our 1850m2 turf job in Plenty. Turf of choice is Eureka Premium VG Kikuyu from @lilydalelawn. Awesome quality turf given the recent rainfall and late start to spring. Very happy.
04.01.2022 When we say ‘concept to construction’ we mean it. Templestowe job completed yesterday. Bit of a retro feel to the design. Myoporum ground covers to complete the green carpet look with 10 Betula pendula (Silver Birch) over head. Simple simple. New driveway, paving, retaining walls, irrigation, turf, plants, mulch and lawn. 4 weeks start to finish including 1 circuit breaker.
04.01.2022 What a difference 18 months makes. Back at one of our Plenty projects. 18 months of growth around the fire pit area. Not bad at all given the soil type, exposure and difficult location.
03.01.2022 1 day transformation in Diamond Creek for some much needed privacy. Kay Parris Magnolias as a future hedge with Gardenia augusta ‘Florida’ mass planted understory. Nice and clean and ready for some spring weather.
14.12.2021 First coat on our Plenty basketball court. Ready for spring basketball at home.
11.12.2021 200 down, 3800 to go. 100x100x30 bluestone cobblestone border and asphalt infill driveway in Plenty. Even after 22 years of landscaping we still find new ways to do things.
02.12.2021 Onto the last couple weeks on our Plenty project. Can’t wait to see some green go into this garden.
10.11.2021 Our 10 year old Studley Road project getting a revamp. Fresh Hebe’s, standard Rose, Gardenia’s, Buxus and Dichondra’s to fill some gaps. A hair cut for the existing hedges both short and tall and a check and service of the drip line irrigation system. Mars Landscapes offer design, construction and maintenance services.
31.10.2021 Hawk View project 6 months on through the lens of Mitch @mitchlyonsphotography Absolutely stunning!!! Have to admit...we are pretty proud of this one.
23.10.2021 Concrete sleeper wall rebuild. This photo shows how important it is to place plastic behind a wall. Sediment all over the tennis court and constant water flow through the gaps in the sleepers. The builder of this wall (unknown) skimped on a roll of plastic which has created a 3 day rebuild issue. Cutting corners in construction almost always comes back to bite you (or somebody else). Not only do we create beautiful gardens from scratch but we can improve your existing garden.
