06.01.2022 VALE ‘LIZA’ Australian Champion Marstenmoor Melting Moment 16th September 2011 20th October 2020 Tragically due to snake bite... Liza was from a very much anticipated litter for Marstenmoor Mastiffs. This was an intentionally dual sired breeding using two dogs that we were very excited about our ‘Clinton’ and imported frozen semen from ‘Aidan’ Am. Ch. Goldleaf’s Everybody’s Talkin. DNA tests determined that Liza was sired by Clinton. She was named after our dear friend Elizabeth Mitchell who helped me get this litter through when the pups started to crash at just 36 hours after their birth. Liza, along with her litter sister, Maeve, were our ‘keepers’ from the litter. They were a dynamic duo which got up to quite a lot of mischief and did a bit of damage! Paul had a thing with her when Liza thought that it was her dinner time. She would go up to him and he would ask her to place her order. She would carry on with all these noises while he kept asking what she wanted. It was a nightly ritual which was so funny. She also folded her paws just like her daddy! Her two daughters from her only litter have her sweet temperament and good looks. In November 2016, Liza was rehomed with John Hazelgrove in country Victoria. An experienced Mastiff owner, we knew that John would give the most wonderful home to Liza. She was joining John’s other Mastiff, a 12 week old puppy named Grace. We were certain that Liza, once she had adjusted, would be a loving companion to John and Grace. We were not proven wrong. Our sincere thanks and condolences to John and Grace. Liza had a wonderful home and life with you. Gabrielle and Paul XXX John wrote these beautiful words about Liza: On Tuesday I found my Dear Old Mastiff - Liza - had passed away in the front garden: Liza was 9 years old and a little stiff in the back legs, but full of life and love and cheekiness.. (Little) Grace, my 4 year old Mastiff, seemed upset, but she soon started to crash.. Emergency intervention, and extraordinary care from Passionate Vet Care in Bendigo saved Grace: Both had suffered snake bite.. I have never seen a snake on my block, and I had stopped walking the girls through the bush to avoid exactly this.. Liza - Mastenmoor Melting Moment - came as a retired dog from Gabrielle and Paul Simmonds - absolutely gorgeous, cheeky and funny, social, patient and tolerant, talkative, and so so loving. it is just so heartbreaking and so unfair.. Liza will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.. and my Sincere Thanks to Gabrielle and Paul for bringing Liza into my life.. I know life goes on, and we eventually get beyond the pain, but somehow it doesn’t seem right that life goes on when such a huge loving heart has been extinguished. 06.01.2022 On Saturday afternoon, caught up with 'Bosley' Marstenmoor King Of The Mountain ('Heff' Marstenmoor Comfortably Numb x 'Penny' Tessenday Summoor Lovin (AI) Imp NZ born 27th April 2020) at the local park. We haven't seen him since he left us over four months ago. Took along 'Gina' Marstenmoor Prelude To Fame ('Sunny' BISS/RUBISS Australian Champion Marstenmoor Hot Summer Knight x 'Penny' Tessenday Summoor Lovin (AI) Imp NZ born 30th September 2019). Bosley has been attending doggie daycare twice a week to help with his socialisation during COVID-19 lock downs and restrictions. He is certainly very social so it has worked well!

13.11.2021 'Nova' Marstenmoor A Star Is Born (Harry X Gina litter - 5 months) loves her hooman dad. Photo from last night - fabulous dinner at the Harrington/Holland home. Nova had a very busy evening playing with the toys that she selected from the basket and she was delighted not to have them taken off her by her Mastiff relatives which is the usual case at home. She also thought it was great to bark and bark at her elderly relative, Walt. He tolerated her antics, just !

Sadly, over the Rainbow Bridge too soon, Luna (since her last birthday), Dina, Paddington and Moungie. In the last 12 months, Sunny became a grandpa and Millie a grandma for the second time.
