22.01.2022 More prototypes ready for the WA Guitar Gear Maker Showcase day at Pen Cap Chew rehearsal studios tomorrow afternoon. A higher output HSS set, with A8 magnets in all three positions.

19.01.2022 Couple of quick bits of news: I will be away between between 9th-22nd October, so apologies in advance for any delays in responding to messages or orders. However, the good news is that I have finalised the design of my new P90s, and there are a limited number of sets now available. Wound to approximately 8.0k (bridge) and 7.8k (neck) with plain enamel wire like they were in the 50s. They use degaussed rough cast A5 magnets for a fat tone with plenty of bite. More informatio...n when I get back. Strummers, Sound Centre and the Rock Inn have one set each in stock (along with my Wide Range Humbuckers and Tele sets), so you wont have to wait two weeks to get your hands on a set.

10.01.2022 Really enjoy doing unique one-offs like this - a replacement bridge pickup for a 60s Gibson Melody Maker, the owner felt the original was too bright and thin. To make this I sourced an original cover, modified a strat bobbin to fit and made a custom baseplate. Using long A5 magnets and wound to about 10k it has a lot more punch and a thicker, raunchier sound than the original.

The perfect drop-in upgrade for a 72 Telecaster Deluxe, Thinline or Custom reissue. - Correctly sized bobbins and ferrous reflector plate that I fabricate myself to match the original 70s design. - AlNiCo rod magnets (A5 in the neck, A2 in the bridge).... - 52mm pole-piece spacing for the neck pickup, 54mm for the bridge. - Neck slightly underwound to balance the output between the neck and bridge positions better.

01.01.2022 Tele style pickups are now available. - Bridge pickup is hand-wound to approximately 9.5k with A3 magnets for a full tone, without losing any of that Tele twang. - Neck pickup is hand-wound to approximately 6k and constructed with taller A5 magnets to achieve a more Strat-like tone.
