24.01.2022 June Reveals Biggest Month of Sales in Perth Since 2015! June reiwa.com data shows the strongest month for sales in Perth since 2015, with transactions increasing 55.1 per cent compared to May and 45 per cent higher than June 2019. reiwa.com data shows there were 3,990 sales transactions in June, with 2,519 of these dwellings (up 15 per cent) and 1,471 land sales (up 289 per cent)... The recent Federal and State Government building bonus grants have boosted transactions last month. The large spike that we have seen in land transactions can be attributed to people fearing that they may miss out on these grants. There is a real possibility that we will run out of titled and completed blocks in the coming months. The median land sale price increased five per cent compared to this time last year and is now sitting at $250,000. A perfect time to sell with buyer demand so high, call today!
23.01.2022 What should I be doing to help prepare for the coming months? There are many steps you can take if you're currently unaffected by financial stress but want to prepare yourself just in case.... If you currently have a home loan, consider the following: Check your interest rate. Rates are quite low now. If yours has risen over time there might be much better deals on the market. If this is the case, you could refinance (switch) and save. Refinance to a lower rate loan. If your rate is high, compare your options and refinance to a lower interest rate. Your repayments will shrink. Make extra repayments via an offset account. Making extra loan repayments reduces your debt and is good financial preparedness if you get affected by coronavirus. You can put the extra repayments directly into your loan or save them in your mortgage offset account (if you have one). The offset account gives you more flexibility to use the repayments later. Build a savings buffer to cover future repayments. If it's at all possible, build up extra savings now. You can use this to cover repayments if you get sick or lose your job. Again, you can do this via an offset account (and this will lower your interest costs) or any savings account. "A household who wants to put up a shed or a patio or some shade sails, to have to get planning approval from the local council is expensive and unnecessary," Premier Mark McGowan said. The Premier said the Government had brought forward its planning reform package in a bid to stimulate the economy and create jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic. They will also include measures to cut red tape for small businesses wanting to start up or adapt and will introduce a new development application process for "significant" projects for the next 18 months to provide immediate support for the states economic recovery.
