22.12.2021 Here’s what I did in lockdown After 35 years, I got around to digging out and then scanning some 35mm transparency strips. The images were taken from two helicopters we hired to do aerial filming of Israeli and Italian landmarks. I’m not sure you would be allowed to fly over these same areas today. The footage we shot was used in the Discovering film series released in 1986 and 1987. ... Director of Photography Rob Draper and Co-producer Richard Baker and I flew in the back seat hanging on to Rob as he hung out the door. Flying vertically up the 450 metre high walls of Masada was an amazing experience. We travelled for much of the time in a 48 seater bus with just eleven of us. 06.12.2021 In December, 2018 a group of young people travelled to France to visit the Battlefields of France. Included in the trip were members of the Ozy Youth Choir who performed throughout the tour. The footage from France was shot by multiple people on multiple cameras - in many cases without any planning. So it was a real case of searching for and finding suitable footage and stills to tell the story.

10.10.2021 Back shooting over the weekend with 3 cameras shooting interviews for an upcoming seminar. Built a custom bracket for mounting two Rode shotguns. Also had my Sony 4K on the Rhino slider.
