21.01.2022 My cover photo shows a new map by Martin Lane Design being placed in position for clients Bland Shire Council, NSW. The map replaced a charming hand painted one from the early 60s. It was interesting to reflect that when I first started out in graphics in 1968, I too would have produced the map in much the same way. Except in the UK we had invented 'Leterset' dry transfer lettering, it was all the rage from about 1962 on. I did learn to hand letter during my graphics training so it holds a special fascination for me.
