24.01.2022 1950s cottage, painted in oil based enamel by the original owner. Big day of sanding, scraping and cleaning to get ready for undercoating.

24.01.2022 Geoff applying Dulux Precision Stain and Mould water based epoxy to the walls and ceilings. Besides the poor paintwork, there was also some mould and quite a few serious water stains that will require a additional stain sealing. This product will form a solid base from which to undertake filling, more sanding and additional undercoats. #kelvingrovepainter #redhillpainters #brisbanepainters #interiorpainters #problemsolvers #happyteam

20.01.2022 The satisfaction of pulling the tape off and revealing the details that make the front staircase a major statement. #springhillpainter #stairs #sharplines #exteriorpainters #brisbanepainters #dulux

14.01.2022 Final coat Sikkens Cetol Deck. Only a few more items left to complete this beautiful little cottage in Spring Hill. #springhillpainters #brisbaneexteriorpainters #queenslanderpainters #workerscottagerenovation #blueandwhitehome #decks #timber

11.01.2022 Dave stripping ‘pre-sale’ paint off the walls. Soon after moving in the current owners noticed that the paint damaged quite easily. A lot of scraping and sanding will ensure that the new paint will not have the same issues! #kelvingrovepainters #redhillpainters #interiorpainters #brisbanepainters #artdecostyle

11.01.2022 Unfortunately a dodgy painter took advantage of an elderly lady and painted acrylic over the top of enamel - without any preparation or undercoat to bind it. The new owners have done a lot of work to remove the majority of the flaking paint (it took many weekends!). Nigel and Geoff are thoroughly going over the entire ceiling with orbital sanders to make sure that the preparation is done correctly this time.

10.01.2022 Continuing the blue and white theme. #blueandwhitedecor #hutchmakeover #springhillpainters #brisbaneexteriorpainters #brisbanepainters #dulux

08.01.2022 This 1950’s home in Kelvin Grove definitely bucks the trend as far as style is concerned! Unfortunately another dodgy ‘pre-sale’ paint job has to be completely removed and properly prepared to bring it up to the standard of the lovely new kitchen/laundry extension being added. #kelvingrovepainters #interiorpainters #brisbaneinteriorpainters #preparationiskey # @ Kelvin Grove, Queensland

03.01.2022 Looking out over beautiful Kelvin Grove, so very fortunate to live and work in this part of Brisbane. #kelvingrovepainters #kelvingrove #redhillpainters #redhill #paddingtonpainters #paddingtonbrisbane #brisbanepainters #brisbaneinteriorpainters #brisbaneexteriorpainters #brisbanewintersky #brisbane #bne #queensland #happyfriday #lovelife

01.01.2022 Applying oil based undercoat to all surfaces after all the sanding and clean up is done. There are many options for changing paint systems over from oil based enamels to water based paint. In this instance, given the age of the paintwork and the problems that the owners have experienced, we recommended going old school. It is smelly, slow drying and requires a different work flow. But it works and the result will something that the home owners can have faith in.
