25.01.2022 Goolburri would like to announce the arrival of our first run of community designed shirts as an initiative to get our local artists involved with our (715) Ab...original and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Assessments incentive. It is a way for artist to get on board to design the shirts and the design to be nominated through a poll voted upon by the community for the community, we thank Daniel for being the successful nomination with such a heartfelt story behind the artwork. Daniels story: My inspiration to paint the dragon fly painting was from a very special loving caring woman that I knew and had a great privilege to call Aunty Judy, she loved dragonflys so I used a lot of her colours to put together a story about 3 sisters. I sent the design through and I hope the community get on board and will love to wear the shirt and if they knew Aunty Judy think of her when you are wearing it. So the first shirt went to Aunty Judys one and only loving husband Uncle Andrew. Pictured left to right: Daniel Blades, Uncle Andrew Walker and Trent Adams.
