24.01.2022 Last Thursday the Dolphin Class (3-6) engaged in cooking! the children would use their cognitive development to think and solve how much we needed of each ingredient. The children would pour, mix and measure the ingredients to create sultana cookies! The children enjoyed discovering what happens to the mixture in the oven and how they cook.

21.01.2022 The children in the goldfish and dolphin class are super excited about our new pet bunny rabbit. Our bunny rabbit is called Floppy and we are so happy we can take care of him.

19.01.2022 The children at Mary Grace Childcare enjoyed their Thursday afternoon with Dancing Class and Soccer Joey's. The children enjoyed working together and listening to their coaches while developing essential skills that is needed in their early childhood development.

18.01.2022 During this week, the children are engaging in writing. As the children would demonstrate their tripod grasps they would trace/write some sight words. The children would identify common sight words like and, the and why. The children would also continue writing their names.

17.01.2022 This week in the Dolphins Class the children engaged in dramatic play! The children would demonstrate the ability to use their self help skills in order to wash the car toys, be a doctor and to go groceries shopping! The children would work together as a team to corporate. We also learnt the letters in our names.

17.01.2022 The chicks and ducks are here! The children are learning about the cycle of the egg hatching into beautiful little chick and ducks. The children love learning and exploring these animals. The began holding and patting the baby chicks, the children also made the little chicks a play ground with wooden blocks.

17.01.2022 The children at Mary Grace Childcare are really enjoying learning about our special bunny rabbit Floppy. We have been feeding our Bunny carrots and taking great care of him. The children have been learning cool facts about rabbits and completing worksheets, games, activities and learning experiences on the Rabbit.

13.01.2022 Harmony day! The children focused on friendship, respect and love for each other. We learnt about different cultures and their traditional food, we learnt that we respect everyone from different cultural backgrounds and also saying hello in many languages. Thank you parents who brought traditional foods in, the children loved eating foods from different cultures all together.

12.01.2022 Yesterday Mary Grace Childcare had our annual Christmas Party and Graduation. The children had so much fun doing different Christmas activities such as decorate your own Christmas stocking, cookie decorating, Christmas cards, sand, playdough and clay. We had fresh chicken and sandwiches with wraps and burgers and some yummy fruit salad. The children sang the Christmas Songs and I'll opened up their presents. It was a fun day! Thank you to all the parents and family members that came.

12.01.2022 We here at Mary Grace Child Care encourages children to always include vegetables within their meals. Vegetables provide nutrients vital for health and maintenance of your body. Within the centre we provide a menu that incorporates vegetables in each meal. The children enjoyed eating Broccoli and Corn Pasta. As the children ate a lot of the corn and pasta, a lot of broccoli was left over. As we encourage the children to always finish their meals we can incorporate healthy eating into play. Broccoli has an impressive nutritional profile. It is "high in fibre, very high in vitamin C and has potassium, B6 and vitamin A,". We will continue to teach children the benefits of healthy eating and to try broccoli in meals again.

07.01.2022 The children loved the wildlife display we had at Mary Grace Childcare! The children were able to feel the texture of the wildlife animals and learn cool facts about them. We had the pleasure of meeting a wildlife ranger who showed us a bat, frog mouth bird, crocodile, snake, lizard and possum.

06.01.2022 The children in the goldfish room are interacting with our educational tablets. The children are engaging in educational apps and games that are increasing their knowledge with letter, numbers and technology.

06.01.2022 Today the children of Mary Grace Childcare continued to learn about social distancing and hygiene. The children sat at the tables keeping distance but still socialising with their class mates. The children also focused on washing their hands more and how we sanitise and why we need to do this and how we keep our hands clean.

05.01.2022 The dolphins participated in a science experiment by making " a lava volcano". The children worked in groups and we used sand to build the volcano. We then used baking soda and red food colouring, and vinegar for the lava.

04.01.2022 The goldfish engaged in cooking, the goldfish class loved mixing and pouring ingredients to make a delicious cake. The children learnt M for Milk, B for Butter, C for Cake and E for Eggs.

04.01.2022 Learning our alphabetical letters! The dolphin class are learning the alphabet letters as they are match the magnetic letters to the correct matching letter on the class white board.

04.01.2022 Mary Have Childcare has extended and implemented our new Montessori program. Montessori is former higher education that allows the children to further their development and preparation for school. This week the children have been enjoying the activities and love learning new ways to interact and learn with our Montessori Program. TAKING ENROLLMENTS NOW!

02.01.2022 The highlight of the week was our visit from the kindy farm. The children interacted with different farm animals. The children loved the goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, baby chicks, chicken and a duck. The children learned about the different farm animals.

02.01.2022 The goldfish class gathered around and made slime! The educators had brought in some sparkly PVA glue, some contact solution and bicarbonate soda to create the slime. The children loved playing and feeling the texture of the green slime.

02.01.2022 This week has been very exciting at Mary Grace Childcare. We had a lovely birthday party with a jumping castle, yummy food, lots of play and activities and a jumping castle The children also did Soccer at the park and practiced their skills. The children did cooking and educational learning including letters, phonics, days and seasons. We also did a planting and spring experience. It was a fun week.
