25.01.2022 EXTENSION OF FIRE BAN FRASER COAST REGIONAL COUNCIL. A fire ban prohibiting the lighting of fires in the open is currently in place from Midnight Thursday 5 September to Midnight Sunday 8 September for the Fraser Coast, and Gympie Local Government Areas. All permits to light fire previously issued in the local fire ban area are hereby cancelled.

13.01.2022 If you haven't participated, watched or know what pylon racing is about come along to QMARA's next pylon racing competition on the 17th & 18th April at the clubs grounds on Boonooroo Road where pilots will compete for in their favourite class of racing at their once a year event racing not only to be the fastest but to put some cash into their coffers. So for the uninitiated what is Pylon Racing? Well it isn’t easy to explain but if you are into aircraft and like motor spor...t you’ll love Pylon. Put simply multiple aircraft racing each other but primarily the clock for ten laps around a 400 meter triangular course in less than 65 seconds. The action is low and fast but there are surprisingly very few collisions and the pilots walk away from any mishaps unscathed.
