19.01.2022 The final round of the 2020 QIGA golf tournament was played today at Parkwood Golf Course on the Gold Coast. The 7 Queensland golf programs affili...ated with the QIGA program were all present as 98 of Queensland’s best young golfers took to the course in hot and windy conditions. After a tough year for scheduling, seeing the students do what they love was all worth it! Congratulations to Aimee Garland who continued her hot form from Sunday, winning the Maryborough Mixed Open, to this morning’s event on the Gold Coast that saw her finish runner up in the nett event! A great first year as part of the Queensland Intercollegiate Golf Academy with the 2021 schedule looking at more tournaments and a chance (COVID permitting) for our golf program students to compete against the USA golf team in the annual Aussies v USA tournament. Our program would again like to thank our parents for another 4 hours each way travel to give our golfers these amazing opportunities and we are very proud to be the only school outside of Brisbane/Gold Coast region.
