Today, Monday 16 March, the Victorian State Government has also declared a State of Emergency for four weeks in response to this pandemic. We continue to regularly consult with key stakeholders including the Victorian Government, VicSport and Basketball Australia, as well as listening to... our members which assists us in providing the appropriate guidance, information and updates on the continually unfolding COVID-19 situation and the effect on the basketball community. We understand that basketball is a large part of many people’s lives, which will be missed at the moment, however our current priority is to make decisions that ensure the health and wellbeing of all players, coaches, officials, staff, volunteers and all of our families are maintained. At this stage, the suspension of all related Basketball Victoria sanctioned activities, programs and events will continue through the state of emergency period. This date may change, and we will continue to provide updates on a weekly basis. We have been listening to the questions and concerns of our community. 01.01.2022 ATTENTION BASKETBALL IS STARTING 27th November 2020 U10 boys and girls start at 4.15pm ... U12 boys and girls start at 5.30pm This year we will be grading and placing our U10 and U12 players into even teams so you may not be playing with the same team that you were last year. Every effort will be made to ensure that each player is in a team with at least 1 or 2 friends. This will have so many benefits for our association and more importantly, for the players especially as they progress through the junior ranks. Some of the benefits will be: >> Better skill development for all players. Both learning players and more experienced players will benefit in the long and short term >> A more even competition where everyone has the opportunity to play with and against players/teams of their ability, so everyone gets better >> Better retention of players through the grades. Players at both ends of skill level often leave our domestic competition as they get older >> It’s more fun when games are more even >> Meet new friends 2nd February 2021 U14 boys and girls U16 boys U17 girls - note new age group All adult teams Season for these grades will run for 7 weeks plus 2 weeks finals. There will be restrictions in place due to Covid, so please check this page prior to attending the stadium to check limits on numbers and other restrictions. Details will be on this page after announcements this weekend.

01.01.2022 So privileged to have coached this amazing group of girls. We didn’t quite get there, but we were as close as Maryborough Blazers have ever been in the women’s ...competition. So happy for the boys who did get there and let us celebrate with them like winners. Congratulations Maryborough Blazers on a terrific season on and off court. Thanks for letting me be part of it. #blazernation #LFG See more
