24.01.2022 What a busy day today! Stall holders are all set up and ready to trade tomorrow from 9am. CraftFest, Maryborough City Hall, 1-3 November. 9am to 3pm daily.

23.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who entered an entry into the challenge held in conjunction with CraftFest 18, and congratulations to all the winners. The challenge was a huge success and all the entries made a beautiful display in the stage area of the City Hall. Attached in a list on the winners in each section.

14.01.2022 Lesley and Joan recently presented the Deputy Principal of the Maryborough Special School and Rose Wright from the Arts Department, with a cheque which is to be used to buy percussion instruments. The Maryborough Special School was chosen as a beneficiary of CraftFest 2018 and profit from door takings were used to buy these instruments.

13.01.2022 CraftFest opens this morning at 9am for 3 days of craft therapy. Stall holders are set up and ready to sell their creations. There are many new and exciting stalls so pop in and take a look. Maryborough City Hall, 9am to 3pm

13.01.2022 CraftFest was officially opened yesterday by patron,Barb Hovard, and wonderful entertainment was provided by Tracey Wright and her students from St Mary's College. Maryborough Artisans would like to thank all involved for giving their time to make our event even more special. Thank you.

12.01.2022 After eleven successful years of presenting CraftFest at the City Hall, Maryborough Artisans are saddened to announce they are in the process of winding up the incorporation. This decision was made as the small working committee became overwhelmed with the amount of work needed to continue presenting such a high class event. Unfortunately, there were many in the community prepared to volunteer in various ways, but not wanting to join the committee. As there are numerous de...cisions to be made when presenting such an event the members were working in overload and for some the workload had evolved into a near full time job. Maryborough Artisans would sincerely like to thank all stall holders who have attended during the past eleven years, as without them there would be no ‘Fest. Through the years there has been an amazing amount of quality crafts presented by many local artisans. CraftFest has been a platform for these local artisans to present their creations to the public as well as encouraging community members to learn new skills and to carry these crafts in to the future. During the years the committee has been supported by numerous volunteers carrying out various tasks which have all contributed in some way to making CraftFest the wonderful event it has been. Many businesses have also contributed to the ‘Fest in various ways, some by providing shopping vouchers, raffle prizes or supply of equipment when required. The entertainment at the opening of CraftFest each year has been supplied by various musical groups and local school children. Artisans would like to thank all of these volunteers and business for their contribution. Over the years Maryborough Artisans have helped many local organisations purchase much needed equipment on their wish list. These have included the Wide Bay Burnett Historical Society, various departments of the Maryborough Hospital, the Maryborough Fire Service, the Local Ambulance Committee, Riding for Disabled, the Maryborough Special School, Life Choice Disability Services, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Yaroona Women’s Shelter and Care Packs for the Troops. The Maryborough Special School, and the Maryborough Hospital were chosen as beneficiaries of CraftFest 2018. A cheque for $1200 has been presented to the School for percussion instruments and a cheque for $5000 has been presented to the Maryborough Hospital Auxiliary to go toward purchasing an AquaVein Finder. Once everything is finalised the balance of assets will be passed on to the Hospital Auxiliary. Maryborough Artisans would sincerely like to thank all involved with the presentation of CraftFest 2008 to 2018.

09.01.2022 If you have entries for the community "Placemat Challenge being held in conjunction with CraftFest 18, please drop your entries into the Maryborough City Hall today between 12pm and 3pm. All entries will be on display during CraftFest, Thursday 1st to Sat 3rd November. Open 9am to 3pm

08.01.2022 Packing day for the Care Packs. If you keep watching the video you will see the placemats entered into our community challenge all ready to be packed. Congratulations to Tam Geritz for her wonderful work. These packs will bring a lot of cheer to our troops overseas.

08.01.2022 The Maryborough Special School was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of CraftFest 2018. Recently Maryborough Artisans, Lesley Mason and Joan Brazier presented the Deputy Principle and Rose Wright, head of the Arts Department, with a cheque to purchase percussion instruments.

03.01.2022 All the placemats entered into the challenge are now on display and ready for judging tomorrow. Pop down to City hall to see all the beautiful entries which will be included in the Care Packs for the Troops. While you are there you can drop off any donations for the packs or make a monetary donation which will be receipted.
