24.01.2022 Game Day! A Grade take on the Mill and A Res head out to Dunolly!

23.01.2022 Our A Grade side for tomorrow’s clash with Beaufort! We are back at the Park as our boys try to make it 2 from 2!

20.01.2022 The boys have started 2021 off with a bang! Our A Grade boys were sent into bat at the park and got off to a slow start losing 2/13 before Lach Morganti 88, and Sam Bartlett 50, put on a 122 run partnership. Jake Postle finished with a quick 15 to get the boys to 6/186. MKM started well, but some quick wickets got the boys back on top. All 6 bowlers, Postle, Wilshaw, L.Morganti, Bartlett, B.Hoban, and Malik taking wickets. MKM finishing all out 119.... At A Reserve Carisbrook won the toss and batted first setting 9/140 for our boys to chase! Barras 2/13, Tranter 2/26, Shovan 2/29, Thompson 1/15. In reply our boys were 3/15 before Tranter 79no and Barras 34no got the boys home with a 127 run partnership! Well done boys!

19.01.2022 2020 done and dusted! Our A Grade boys finished their strong start to the season with another win while our undermanned A Res side came up short against a strong Natte outfit! It’s been great to enjoy some cricket late in 2020 after what has been a tough year for everyone. We hope you all enjoy the Christmas Break, and look forward to seeing you in 2021! ...

19.01.2022 Sunday’s are always nice coming off two big wins! A Res started off the day with a 3 wicket win over Talbot! Bowling first the boys dismissed Talbot for 79 with Nathan Holland taking 3/15 off his 8 along with Josh Thompson 2/8 off 5 and Jayden McDonald 2/0 off 3. With the bat Brad Reeves got the boys off to a great start with 20, Mick Malik held together a middle order collapse with 23 not out before Luke ‘Golly’ Grant finished the job with 15 not out! ... A Grade won the toss and sent Dunolly in. Sam Bartlett 2/14 off his 8 got the boys off to a good start, while Corey Taylor claimed another 2 wickets for 32 runs off his 8. Jake Postle, Lach Morganti and Kaine Bodey all chipped in with a wicket each. With the bat it was tough going early, Barty started well with 31, Mitch McClure a quick fire 17 before Corey Taylor 30, and Jake Postle 10 not out got the boys home with one ball to spare! A Grade have MKM away next week while A Res are away to Dunolly.

18.01.2022 Yesterday we took on Beaufort at Princes Park, with Jason Hunt playing his first A grade game for Maryborough. After losing the toss we were sent in to bat. Beaufort bowled line and length all day to dismiss our boys for 99 off 34 overs. Mitch McClure 24 and Jake Postle with 17 not out were able to give our boys something to defend. Lachlan Oddie taking 4 for 14 for Beaufort. In reply our opening bowlers kept things tight. Jason Hunt and Sam Bartlett only conceded 12 runs from the first 10 overs. Enter Corey Taylor who then spun the boys into a strong position taking 5 for 10 off his 8 overs and Lach Morganti taking 3 for 19 off 6 overs, leaving Beaufort all out for 74 Next week we take on Laane DunoIIy at Princes Park and our A Res Maryborough/Avoca side kick start their season at Jubilee Oval against Talbot!

10.01.2022 Round 1 is in the books! We welcomed back Corey Taylor to the club along with Ben and Lach Morganti making their A Grade debuts for Maryborough. The boys kicked off the season against Colts Phelans at hedges oval. ... Colts won the toss and batted first making 8/124 off 40 overs. Corey Taylor - 3 for 17 off 8 overs Bradey Tranter - 3 for 21 off 6 overs Dylan Wilshaw - 2 for 22 off 4 overs. Our batsmen then got the job done making 3 for 128 in the 32nd over. A solid start by our opening batsmen Ben Morganti 18 and Bradey Tranter 12, before Corey Taylor 62* capped off a very impressive return to cricket! New captain Sam Bartlett finished 10 not out to get the job done! Next week we take on Beaufort at Princes Park!

06.01.2022 Yesterday our A grade side played MKM looking to make it 4 wins from 4 games and lock in a spot for the 1 day final. We again won the toss and sent the Mill in to bat with Sam Bartlett taking 2 early wickets. MKM through Aaron Westbrook 50 and Joel Radlof 31 were able to get a good partnership together and push the score up to 90, before Mick Malik broke the partnership. Enter Ben Hoban who took his first ever 5 wicket haul taking 6 for 29 off 6 overs at the end of the inning...s to keep the Mill to 160. In reply we lost a couple of wickets to runouts at crucial times and lost wickets at regular intervals as we slumped to 7 for 107 needing 54 runs off 78 balls with Ben Robertson 35 not out and Josh Morganti 21 not out were able to produce an unbeaten 58 run partnership to get us over the line with 1 over to spare finishing at 7 for 165. The 2s took on Dunolly at Dunolly and put on an outstanding performance! Trent Barras bowling 6 overs, 6 Maidens, 6 Wickets for 0 Runs... wow!! Nathan Holland chipped in with 3 as the boys dismissed Dunolly for 43. Nick Hoban 19 not out and and Nathan Holland 14 not out got the boys home! Next week A Grade travel to Clunes while the 2s have the bye!
