22.01.2022 Great news guys, we have confirmed this year we will be holding the swap meet at the Carisbrook trotting complex. This will give us room to move and grow over the next few years and continue to build the event. More details to follow including contact details.
21.01.2022 Just over a week until the 2nd annual Maryborough swap meet, we will be setting up next Friday and it would be helpful to know approximate numbers so we know how many sites to mark out and such. If you are planning on attending at this stage please let us know either on here or by calling Trav on 0409 281 259. We have plenty of room at our new location at the Carisbrook trotting complex so we won't run out of sites but we'd love a rough idea for planning if nothing else. We're looking forward to a big day so hope to see you all there
20.01.2022 Hi all, don't forget to ring through if you're keen for a site, we don't want to have to turn anyone away on the day! Also keep in mind this is an automotive swap meet only, we are looking for any vehicle s, parts, hand tools or small engines. Unfortunately we won't be accepting stalls selling brick a brack or non related items, however if you are looking to sell said items the Talbot swap with the lot is on the week before which may accommodate you better

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, I've just been informed that the Wings and Wheels event on Sunday at the airport has been cancelled due to storm/water damage in the recent weather... events. 08.01.2022 Well the rains still falling so it looks like the swap meet God's were against us today but thank you to all that tried and sorry we couldn't find a way to make it happen. We are really happy with the date and hope that next year we can get it going, sandwiched between the Talbot and Maldon meets seems to have agreed with everyone so we win tentatively lock in the melb cup weekend for next year. Given the time frame we hope to be able to get plenty of site holders together and will be focusing on automotive items only. The other wares we will help move onto to the Maryborough lion's market which is held the first week of the month in Nolan st and is a fantastic market for all other items. Thank you again for the understanding, not much we can do about the rain and let's face it, the cockies need it!
06.01.2022 Well after a big few days this years 1st ever Maryborough Swap meet is done and dusted. A huge thank you to all that attended as either site holders or general... public, it wasn't a huge event but still a really solid start with a great feel to it. Thank you to all that helped out with putting it together, it was fairly hastily planned and executed to get it aligned with the Wings & Wheels festival (which ended up being cancelled anyway!!) but the planning will start now for next year so we are hoping to get more refined, organised and increase promotion. Feedback from everyone has been taken on board and we are still happy to hear your thoughts as to how we can improve so if you have and ideas for us or feedback please message us and let us know. We will endeavour to get a date for next year asap and at this stage we will be hoping to have it again on the Wings and Wheels weekend. Next year we are planning on having a maximum of 50 sites, with most 12x5 and a few smaller at 6x5 for those without trailers. This is to ensure we keep it manageable until we get good at this and maximise our location. Bookings will be open for next year as soon as we have a date, with this years site holders getting first preference but we think that there will be enough sites for all at this stage. Thank you again for your support and hopefully we can grow this event and get bigger and better as we go

Sorry for the late notice we really hoped that the weather would pass but it only seems to be getting worse
05.01.2022 A bit of news for those that follow this page, the wings and wheels festival will likely NOT be running this year at this stage. Until now we have been waiting for a date for the 2018 event however it now looks like we can pick a date ourselves. We will soon hold a meeting to plan for the event and would love to invite local people to attend and help is out with your ideas and thoughts. Stay tuned as we will post a meeting date and time soon

03.01.2022 Hi All, probably no surprise to anyone but due to the whole Covid rot this year we have decided not to go ahead with the swap meet. To say we're gutted is an understatement as since we have taken over the running of the event we have been too pushed to run the first one, rained out on the second and now pandemic'd off! However it is our understanding that if someone was to attend our event and get a dose of the rona and we hadn't ticked all the boxes we would be potentially liable as insurance won't cover it. We reckon it's a bit much to put back on our volunteers so we've put it aside for this year but we are hoping like hell 2021 will be our year!

Unfortunately the entertainment we had worked out for the swap meet Saturday afternoon has fallen through so instead we have decided to have a happy hour from 4 pm with cheap drinks at the bar. It will also give is a chance to speak to all the stall holders and guests about how to grow the maryborough swap meet into a great event going forward. Hope to see you all there.
02.01.2022 Greetings all. For those that have been wondering where the swap meet is at I thought I'd drop a quick line. After last years event we had some feedback/issues with the venue, primarily a lack of space for the vent to go forward as we were unable to get permission to utilise the ground. We have been looking for an alternative venue and are in the process of sorting something out and should know something within the next day or so. We understand that time is getting short for people so please be patient and we will announce details asap. Feel free to comment and thoughts and as was the case last year you can let us know here if you'll be attending and we'll book you a site. One thing I know is that prices will remain the same as last year ;)
