13.01.2022 Just before the 2nd wave of #coronavirus hit Melbourne, I had the absolute joy of photographing the gorgeous @jencrescenzo in motion at one of my all favourite places in the world...the Blairgowrie back beaches in southern Australia. . I lived for 18mths literally one sand dune away from this stunning coastline..I walked every inch of it and fell in love with its wildness, its purity, its dangers and its salty wind on my face. . Impossible to be unhappy in its embrace.... . As a photographer I'd often imagined creating images in some of my favourite spots with somone who got the energy of this space. . So when Jennifer asked me about creating some brand images for her business that captured nature's elements....boy was I was ready to roll! . You really can't create a studio as beautiful as this. Photographing people on the move outdoors doing what they're passionate about is what I love to do best. . With everything so shut down presently in Victoria, I'm so glad to look back on all the beauty and joy of this day shoot. . Shot here against the stunning sandstone cliffs along the back beaches of Blairgowrie, @jencrescenzo of Muse in Motion embodies that sense of exploration that I suspect drives many of us in life to leave safe shores behind..just to see what's possible, to test ourselves. . 2020 is a difficult year for us all. 04.01.2022 Escaping these crazy #covid_19 times through the deep joy of creativity. . I've been separated from my Melbourne home and my camera for 3 months now due to a surreal combination of Victorian/Queensland border closures and my Mum's ill health on the opposite end of Australia. . So I've been exploring new creative outlets to mix up with riding my bike every day to make sure a dash of joy rises in every day .... . I might not be a super star painter, but it's just beautiful getting lost in colour, form and composition through endless splashes of paint. . Am working my way slowly through @kerriehessillustration beautiful master-class in watercolours and acrylics...not yet past watercolours . . Definitely finding the beauty in all the imperfections of my novice art...beauty is in the eye of the beholder right?? .
