25.01.2022 After a very successful event in 2020, the Royal Australian Mint will be hosting another quiet morning, run in partnership with the Marymead Autism Centre, catering to families with children who have heightened sensory requirements, including those on the autism spectrum. The Mint Café will be open and each participant and family member will receive a free coffee or cold drink. Food will be available at visitor’s expense. The Mint Coin Shop & Gallery Press will also be open f...rom 9.30am onwards. When: Saturday 23 January 2020, 9.00am-10.00am. 20.01.2022 The Autism Board Games is starting again this month! The next session is on Saturday 20 Feb (every 3rd Saturday of each month) from 5.30 to 8.30 pm at Downer Community Centre, Frencham Place, Downer. $10 per participant (to cover food and hall hire) (carers free). Appropriate hygiene and social distancing measures will be put in place. Please do not attend if you are unwell. Contact Bronwyn on 0434 565 159.

This autism-friendly pilot program includes low sensory spaces, quiet areas and a creative space for families to enjoy together. Suitable for anyone who prefers a quieter visitor experience....
