24.01.2022 Simple but totally delicious!

21.01.2022 Our creamy Pumpkin Hummus with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds is a cinch to prepare and you’ll find yourself dolloping it on everything! The recipe uses raw pumpkin seed...s which should ideally be left to dry out overnight to ensure extra crunch after roasting. Lightly tossed in smoked paprika they’re simply scattered over the dip just before serving expertly demonstrated here by 15-year old Louis. The dip is vegan and can be made using pantry staples, including either cooked chickpeas or canned. Members will find the recipe on the Shared Table. See more

16.01.2022 Starting early is the best way to give kids skills for life and help them make the best decisions when it comes to their health and wellbeing!

15.01.2022 IT was a fabulous day yesterday at Fairbridge farm at our AGM. It is such a privilege to be Vice President of WA School Canteen Association and be able to workshop and network with Canteen managers from across metro and regional schools.I remember contacting WASCA way back in 2003 when I stepped into the role of Canteen manager in Onslow, the support they gave me was exceptional. Lovely way to spend the morning sharing challenges and successes with likeminded people.

14.01.2022 I had the privilege of meeting Rhanee and helping build a cultural healing garden for the Adnyamathanha people in South Australia. I adore this lady and her family, it remains one of my favourite projects of all time.

14.01.2022 Thank you Broome Senior High school, INPEX and WA School Canteens for being such a great team in delivering a fantastic program to the students.Carolyn Davies, Kate and Christine you made this pilot exciting, engaging and full of fabulous fresh seasonal produce and welcomed the community into your kitchens with open arms. This week we still have another couple of exciting classes ahead with the support of Boab health who will be delivering a 'swap it up' a workshop and finally, we will be finishing off with a foraging workshop with Bart Pigrim in August to close this years 'Share it' on a high note. Also to my always delicious buddy, Anna Gare thank you for being such a trooper and inspiring us all to think outside the box and find the joy in cooking fresh food and sharing it with our friends, families and communities.

08.01.2022 How fortunate am I to be working with such an inspiring program for all ages. Starting young means these children will develop skills for life and form healthier eating habits as a result of being engaged in the kitchen garden program
