23.01.2022 Hi friends and family! I trust everyone is well during this unusually difficult time ! Hope the self isolation/quarantine is going ok ...(if this is applicable to you)... your families are all well .. and for the care workers/medical/emergency care workers... THANK YOU! ... I have been busy whilst self isolating with hubby... having finished a couple of paintings ... one just ‘mucking around’ ... a seascape... the other, a triptych for my son and daughter in law... (still finishing touches to be made to this ! )Enjoy! Stay safe!

21.01.2022 On a roll...(I think)... totally out of my comfort zone ... using mainly pallet knife ... I must have altered the painting a zillion times (slight exaggeration here)... I’m finally happy ... your thoughts please? (Painting based on a pic one of my nieces took of Milford Track in New Zealand )

18.01.2022 Travelling in our motorhome... (up in Nebo Central Queensland)..took my paints... finally have a couple of days to ‘play’ with my art... took about 3 hours... not finished... but love the colours (have only bought a limited supply of paints with me )...

18.01.2022 Hey art friends/family... attached is a painting using new techniques... pallet knife/brush ...it is based on a friends photo in Tasmania (thanks MH... for allowing me to use it as a reference )... had lots of fun,I love the colours and can see the water flowing over those rocks so vividly ... enjoy!

I’ve been working diligently on a painting over the last couple of months ... naming it Pandemic Painting.... it’s has evolved from a couple of pictures and loads of imagination ...set in good old kiwi land back in the 40’s (maybe)..with Mt Taranaki in the background ... hope you like it ... I do... had fun adding little bits in...

16.01.2022 Hey friends ... The last six weeks have been quite a sad time in our household, one of my brothers passed away and I’ve been away most of the time ... I did manage to start a painting of him (which he saw before he passed... and loved). Many years ago two of my brothers, their wives, my then hubby and I went on a cruise on the canals in southern France ... my brother loved it so much, we made him Captain ... ... so here is the photo and my (nearly finished) painting ...lots more to do

14.01.2022 I’m attempting something a little different ... a sunrise here in the bay... permission has been sought from the photographer ... still along way to go with the brilliance of colours... (which is proving really difficult )... and of course the Pier ... that will be fun !

12.01.2022 A wee story behind the painting shown... my brother David passed away just after Christmas... many years ago my then husband, David, his wife Jenny, one of our other brothers Peter and his wife Judy went cruising on the Canal du Midi in France... we had an awesome trip.. David quickly became promoted to Captain of our amazing cruiser...he never stopped talking about it during the many months of his illness, even talking on his way into the hospice... hence I decided to do a painting of him on the boat... (my first attempt at painting people!)... I took it back to New Zealand to show him before it was completed ... he just loved it ... RIP David I bet you are now cruising the waterways in France!
