24.01.2022 Yes wear your sunscreen everyday. It’s your best anti aging protection. Don’t get caught up with the belief that SPF 50 is better than 15. That is a whole lot more chemicals that you are applying. It all depends on your burn time and reapplying. I have dermaviduals and Moo Goo products in stock.

21.01.2022 What does a skin consultation and analysis involve? It takes us at least 1.5 hours to establish your skin concerns and find some leading causes. This involves looking at what ingredients are in your skincare products you are currently using and have used in the last few years. This includes your hair care, your toothpaste, deodorant, body wash, moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup and laundry detergent. You can have a look at the shelves of shame. We discuss your medical history,... diet, fluids, work environment and your genetic history. We then prescribe your recommended skin care that has ingredients that mimic your skin. 21.01.2022 4 months ago I decided to stop drinking alcohol for many reasons. Each day I get a positive affirmation. I love this one. I feel so much better physically, emotionally, mentally and I’m saving money. I knew I had an addictive personality as I use to smoke also. It’s so nice not to need crutches to cope . We don’t do harsh peels, microdermabrasions, hydrabrasions, or dermaplaning to remove your outer living skin cells ( corneocytes). That is like taking the roof off your house just before a storm. . 16.01.2022 More home made lip balms made with love, beeswax, coconut oil, Shea butter and Vitamin E. What ingredients are in your lip balm? Make sure they don’t contain Petrolatum, Paraffin, Cera Microcrystalline as these are petroleum derivatives that can lead to heat build up as they are occlusive and the skin can’t breathe. These ingredients can accumulate in your liver, kidneys and lymph nodes. They cause blackheads and wrinkle construction. Our clients love my homemade ones. Do you need one? 15.01.2022 I am a nurse and I have now been performing IPL treatments for the permanent reduction of unwanted dark hair, pigmentation and vascular conditions for 11 years and over 9 years in my own business. The light is attracted to the melanin in the hair follicle and will only be effective if the hair is in the anagen growth phase. If the hairs are in the catagen or telegen phase they don’t have any melanin. Only dark hair can be treated, not white or blonde. Shaving a hair will no...t change the hair growth, only feel blunt. They are not weeds and do not seed when trimmed. You cannot shave a hair too short before treatments. For pigmentation treatments you need a letter from a doctor or dermatologist saying you have had a skin check and all brown spots are safe to treat. Now is NOT the best time for these treatments due to sun exposure. If you have had treatments at another business you still need to have a consultation and test shots as I didn’t perform your treatments. The number of treatments depends on the individual and what and where I am treating. Remember it is a heat light source and there are contraindications and risks. Be careful! See more

11.01.2022 Do you believe you have sensitive skin? How many times I hear this and then look at the products the clients are using.. Stop playing Russian roulette mixing skin care care products. Your skin is sensitive because of what you are doing to it. Expensive doesn’t mean it’s better. Please book in for a skin consultation and analysis so you can make an educated decision on what skin care products to use. Your skin DOESN’T need fragrance, colors, preservatives, emulsifiers, silicones, amines or mineral oils. Read that again.

11.01.2022 Wear your sunscreen daily. It’s your best anti aging skin care product and will help prevent scarring caused by trauma to the skin. SPF 15 gives you 93%, SPF 30 gives you 96.7% and SPF gives you 98% protection from UVB and a whole lot more chemicals. I usually recommend SPF 30. It comes down to your burn time. If you burn within 10 minutes of sun exposure SPF 15 x 10 = 150 minutes. Reapply sunscreen. SPF 30 x 10 = 300 minutes, reapply sunscreen. Be sunsmart and wear wrap around sunglasses, broad brimmed hats and protective clothing. Remember incidental sun exposure all adds up. 07.01.2022 R U OK? Are you okay? Honestly this year has been one of the most challenging for many people, myself included. I have my days when I lean on friends for a chat and a hug. Sometimes you have to allow yourself to cry and reach out for help. I’m getting better at doing that. I’ve suffered with depression from an early age and yes I take anti depressants daily and have for many years. It’s an illness many people struggle with.
