25.01.2022 As we round out what has been a crazy year, we would like to look back at the year that was 2020. We started the year off with a bang, with a massive Interclub competition with some awesome memories as our students battled it out in our sword fighting, sumo wrestling, sparring and weapons demonstrations. Our sparring team competed in the US Open and we opened our new branch in Cabravale. And then we went into lockdown. Not to be deterred, our team moved online, teaching clas...ses on our Zoom platform to our students in the safety of their homes. We were so happy to see our students overcome the challenges of lockdown, continuing their training and keeping up their social connection with their friends. As we came out of lockdown, our members saw how busy we had been during the lockdown, with renovations happening across our full time branches at our Prestons HQ, Mt Annan and Camden, revamping our look. Since then, life has almost returned to normal as our Plumpton members have moved into our awesome new Rooty Hill full time centre and we welcomed our new members of our Black Belt family after the first Black Belt grading in a while. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customer service team, our managers and instructors for going above and beyond this year, taking on 2020 and all its challenges. We were so humbled for all the support our team received to get through the challenges of this year. Please know that your support gave us the extra fire and drive for us to continue to do what we love and we look forward to building our relationships with our MAS families. We would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and whatever happens in 2021, we will be ready to face it head first! Don't forget, there will be no classes from the 21st December to the 3rd of January. We hope to see everyone back in class in the week of the 4th! -Master Terrence Fernandez

20.01.2022 R U OK? Today is R U OK Day, 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive differen...ce to their life. Learn what to say after R U OK? and head to https://www.ruok.org.au/
