Australia is very fortunate that our government so far has not ordered the closure of all restaurants and hospitality outlets in response to the current crisis. They have however strongly advised social distancing as a major weapon against the spread of the virus. In response to this we have withdrawn 50% of our tables to provide distance and assurance to our diners. 10.01.2022 The Beer is Near ! A quick update to all of our customers and those of you trying to book a table. We took the advice of Scomo and took advantage of the lock down to carry out some repairs and renos. Then he surprised us by deciding we could open much earlier. We are still finishing off the work and currently ticking all of the many boxes required prior to opening. We will not open until the health and safety of our patrons and staff is being managed to the highest standard...s and procedures. We will be opening under reduced trading hours until such time as we can accommodate our full number of patrons and will be updating our page with more details when they become clearer. 09.01.2022 A note from us o all our loyal customers. Sadly a lot of our industry failed to follow the rules and we all know that the health and safety of everyone is the most important thing right now. We wish to advise that we are closed until the Government allows us to open up again in how ever many months it takes. We are not going anywhere and we will be here with great food beer and wine to celebrate when they fire the starters gun.... The government says we can do take away but having crunched the numbers it is simply not viable for us to compete with the established takeaway food chains. Sure we will sell some meals but we cant drop our standards and therefore cant turn out the high volume, mass produced product of the established outlets. The takeaway industry is about high volume low cost franchised meals. We could use a service such as Uber Eats or Menu Log but they take 30% of our price which makes our bottom line even worse. We have identified that we could lose up to $30000.00 per month on projected takeaway sales as opposed to much less by simply closing the doors. Ironically the government announced support payments to keep us open that we would receive if we kept open and employed people, then a few hours later they ordered us to close. Not sure how that works. Anyway, we will be back, we will be selling off some fresh produce via facebook to try and reduce our losses caused by the lack of warning from the government and we will be consuming all the beer we have in stock as a way of dealing with the news. 02.01.2022 SAFE WA is here! As of the 5th of December patrons at all venues will need to register entry to the venue via the Safe WA App by scanning a QR code at the door. We have just tested ours and will have it available for scanning from Friday 27th of November so you can give it a go. Do yourselves a favor and get set up early because the time involved in supplying the information manually will delay your day and the fines they are talking about will ruin it too.
