22.01.2022 Introducing @makeandstyleit Bear Shelves Omgosh we @thestylingmama and @bear.sparrow are so excited and proud of our collaboration. Less than 12 months ago we didn't even know each other. Now we feel like sisters, who laugh out loud a lot together. And....together we have created @makeandstyleit D.I.Y Designer Living.... But there is something missing still. YOU! 11.01.2022 Double trouble here for our new bear and panda shelves! If you can't decide which one to make, make both All you'll need is a Kmart Australia shelf and the instructions on our projects page. Or you can even buy the kit to put it together if you prefer (that'd be me ). Are these not the best #kmarthacks going around? We are all about DIY designer living. There's different styling tips on our blog, so you can visualise how you might like to pretty it up in your home!... Thanks so much for all the amazing support so far- there are big things ahead for our newest collaboration!

05.01.2022 MAKE IT TIP: When painting raw wood it is so important to sand in between layers. But especially after the first coat. WHY? When you first apply paint to raw wood even mdf it soaks in and brings out the grain and it makes the surface become rough to touch and it looks rough too.... A quick, light sand and then you are all ready to paint your next coat. Do it once.....do it well.

02.01.2022 Did you know? Bears aren't just for boys! Nope bears are totally for girls as well. If you make your own bear you could even paint it pink if you wanted to. But then again black and white looks amazing in a little girls room too accessorised with pretty pastels....
