19.01.2022 May Gibbs Poster, 1919 This beautiful illustration was drawn by May Gibbs in 1919 as part of a government campaign in NSW to limit the spread of the deadly Spanish Flu. Soldiers returning from WW1 and infected people were quarantined, wearing masks in public places was made compulsory and many schools and public activities were halted. We have got through this before and we will get through it again. Stay safe everyone.
