25.01.2022 Good morning everyone! I have been speaking to Onkaparinga council, and S.A. Health, in regards to the current situation regarding the recent Covid cases in S.A., and the latest restrictions. At this stage, it does not impact the usage of the hall. However, we will be keeping a very close eye on whats happening, and keep you up to date with the latest announcements.... Stay safe and warm, Lynn

25.01.2022 Calling all budding artists! Some exciting news for the hall, and our community. Sophie Dunlop, a wonderful local artist, is going to be running an 8 week course for anyone who may be interested. Starting in February, it will be on Friday afternoons , from 1pm - 4pm. Along with 100,000 other people nationwide, we are coming together as a community to bring you... Maslin Beach Mega Sale!... It will take place on Saturday 19th October, from 10am - 3pm. 22.01.2022 Hi everyone! Slowly but surely were getting there! *Second phase of ease of restrictions *... In accordance with the SA governments directive, announced in the last 24 hours, the community hall will be allowing Zumba, Pilates Barre, and Yoga classes to recommence their programmes, as of June 1st 2020. Under their advice, classes are still limited to 10 people, with social distancing in place. We look forward to welcoming back our wonderful leaders and their groups. The next few weeks are going to be busy for our little community..and wed love to see everyone there! Have you thought of joining the MBCA committee? Were always looking for new members and ideas. 20.01.2022 Hello everyone, I have received an email from the council notifying us that as of yesterday, June 29th, we have entered tier 3 of easing of restrictions, and we can now function at our full capacity. (50 people) A huge shoutout to our community, and our group leaders/instructors, who all rallied and put their businesses and groups on hold to keep us all safe. Thank you! We look forward to welcoming back our playgroup in the first week of term 3. Thank you all, again..., for your continued support. Lynn

16.01.2022 Hello everyone! I hope youre all keeping safe, well and warm. Just wanted to touch base in regards to hall bookings. The SA governments directive at this stage, is we are legally permitted to have 20 people in the hall at one time, not including a group leader/instructor. Groups are required to adhere to social distancing.... Please be aware of this if making a booking for a social event. We are hoping that the next announcement of ease of restrictions will allow more people to attend. Until I get word from Onkaparinga council, the hall will remain closed, according to government and SA health advice. Were looking forward to getting all groups and activities up and running in the near future. 11.01.2022 Hi everyone, Some positive news! As of Monday, 11th May, the hall will re-open for group activities. Please be aware though, that the limit is still groups of no more than 10 people, and 1.5m social distancing is in place. Consult with your group leaders/teachers in regards to attendance numbers.... Bookings for parties/meetings/social events are still restricted. Were getting there!!! Please remain vigilant, and keep up the social distancing and hand hygiene. The hall will continue to be cleaned regularly with a strong bleach solution, as recommended by SA Health. Please be aware of this if your have skin conditions or chemical sensitivities. Maslin Beach Community Hall- Due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, and the high usage of the hall during the week, all surfaces and door handles will be cleaned with a strong bleach solution, as recommended by SA Health.... Please be aware, should you suffer from chemical allergies or skin conditions. Thank you. Lynn

08.01.2022 Hi everyone, A decision has been made to close the Maslin hall for 2 weeks, effective from midnight tonight. All group leaders have been notified. Apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment I know this will bring, but the decision is based on keeping our community safe. We have learnt that by working together, we can achieve great results.... I am constantly keeping track of the current situation, and will notify you all of any changes. Please stay safe, socially distant, and vigilant. Lynn ******************************** Restriction changes Effective from 11.59pm on Monday: Gyms, recreation centres, trampoline and play cafes will close, with restrictions expected to be in place for two weeks Community sports fixtures and training will be temporarily cancelled, but outdoor fitness activities can continue Funerals capped at 50 people with 1 person per 4 square metres Churches capped at 100, with 1 person per 4 square metres No changes to weddings Private gatherings at licenced venues capped at 50, with no standing consumption and 1 person per 4 square metres 100 per venue at hospitality venues - such as pubs, clubs and restaurants - with 1 person per 4 square metres Private residences capped at 10 people per residence Masks mandatory at beauty services for the service provider Entertainment venues, such as theatres or cinemas, capped at 1 person per 4 square metres Workers at aged care facilities limited to one facility and masks mandatory Schools will remain open South Australians are also advised to: Work from home where possible Stay at home if vulnerable Do not undertake unnecessary travel Wear a mask where it is not possible to physically distance All inbound international flights to Adelaide have been suspended until the end of this week.
