20.01.2022 By rebuilding worn hydraulic cylinders from scratch (rather than replacing them with new ones), MASPRO can deliver a service life equivalent to that of brand new parts for around 40-60% of the price. Here’s how it works. 1. Strip each part down to analyse and identify sealware issues, wear patterns and any significant problems. 2. All components are sand blasted, honed and cleaned, before the part is rebuilt with new oil, seals and replacement fittings... 3. Before testing, cylinders are left for at least 12 hours to ensure everything sets correctly 4. Next, it’s off to the hydraulic test beds for pressure variance testing. 5. Finally they are cleaned, polished, painted and boxed up good as new. We offer fixed price repairs on many common cylinders. 02.01.2022 Although the SmartROC D65 is built to take on the toughest of working conditions, the harsh climate in Australia puts even the best to the ultimate test. When a common reoccurring problem came to light, MASPRO’s team of engineers, with a focus on innovation, redesigned the original breakout cylinder that was subject to frequent failures and difficult to maintain. Here are some of the improvements: ONE PIECE BARREL: The existing barrel was a welded assembly of multiple compone...nts, which presented inherent risks of cracking and internal leakage. Our new design utilises a fully engineered and metallurgically checked cast one-piece unit, which is stronger and more durable. THREADED HEAD GLAND: The original head gland was an interference fit and retained by a locking wire. This assembly was cumbersome to work with; it needed special tooling and would commonly seize inside the bore causing issues. Our new threaded head gland screws in and out effortlessly with the correct tooling. We also added gland and piston locking screws as an added failsafe mechanism. THE RESULT: A durable component that is simpler to service in the field, saving time and money for the customer.
