14.01.2022 How has your Association supported you in 2020 and more importantly, what are you going to do about it? Theres no question that there has been a lot of passion around the advice of Associations in response to the COVID crisis. Without naming any Association in particular, I ask you to consider if you felt that your Association stepped up and provided you with the advice, advocacy and resources you needed to help you as a Massage Therapist during this time.... If they did. Fantastic! let them know. Send them an email acknowledging what theyve done. If they didnt - dont do nothing. Email them and tell the Board where they have let you down. What did you expect and what did they deliver? If youve discovered that your current Association is not meeting your needs, consider changing to one that is more aligned with you values, business model and expectations. 2020 may just turn out to be a pivotal year for the massage therapy industry in Australia. Make sure your Association is representing you.

Hopefully there may be some more guidance before we get back in relation to detergents and in wash sanitizers but looks like we cant rely on hot water alone to kill the virus.... 04.01.2022 Now is not the time to be trying to change the Governments understanding of our industry. In case you didn't notice they are a bit busy. Now is the time to step back, take a breath, connect with other Massage Therapists and spend the time increasing your knowledge and do all those things in your clinic that you never have the time to do.
