23.01.2022 Right now I'm looking for more ease in my business and so I'm back to using a disposable table cover for clinic massages (I ordered 5 month's supply!!!). These covers are biodegradable and can be taken home by the client, composted, washed or used as rags or weed mats. I know some of my clients like to take them home and some have commented that they are softer than regular towels. Using the table covers seriously halves my laundry. Without the roll I have up to 10 loads of ...towels weekly to wash, dry, fold, store, repack and take to and from different clinics. And that's in my free time. Using the covers there is less laundry and fewer towels to cart back and forth. Yay for creating more ease in life and business P.S. If you do take home your disposable towels I'd love to know what you use them for and create a list of ideas

23.01.2022 The first day I wore a face mask at work I panicked about a strange warm breeze on my face every 10 seconds. I kept looking for the heater blowing warm air on my face. After 3 hrs I realised it was MY EXHALE I could feel I don't even know how I managed to massage that day Now I can wear a face mask for hours comfortably but still occasionally have some anxiety and need breaks.... It's perfectly okay to feel physical and emotional discomfort wearing a face mask and it gets easier with practice. Take fresh air breaks, be gentle on yourself and try to get comfortable to start with. I bought ear/mask extenders on ebay to make the masks the right size and take the pressure off my ears. 19.01.2022 I get contacted by companies from Sydney or even interstate all the time asking if I'll work for them to do massage work in my local area. They don't know me or my qualifications, don't even interview me and have certainly never had a massage from me. They usually charge less than me or other local therapists too. The work conditions are probably sham contracting but mostly it concerns me that clients book hoping to have a professional qualified therapist turn up. Please sup...port local business, whether you're booking a massage, sending flowers or hampers, or general shopping, it makes such a difference to the community. Now we're in a recession it's even more important. When I can (i.e. outside of a pandemic) I collaborate with other local therapists and businesses and am always happy to make referrals or recommendations in the area. I did laundry and cleaning and outdoor work non-stop and feel very satisfied Coco found it very boring despite walks and having me around. 15.01.2022 I went camping over the weekend. Since my business reopened I've been working 6 days a week most of the time, sometimes 7. So I blocked out two days in a row, went to national park with no phone reception and enjoyed the outdoors with this fabulous view. I'm already starting to plan the next one! P.S. 05.01.2022 Today I've done 6 hours of work at my two non-massage jobs. I've been tending this garden for 5 years or so now and Coco often 'helps' me. I'm so grateful I can bring her to a workplace and we can keep each other company. All the while my massage work gets more and more consistent and at some stage I'll let go of those extra jobs. For now, I'm certainly not short of variety!!!
