03.01.2022 I have had quite a few clients coming in with Psoas tightness. So I thought I would explain how the Psoas works, and why you feel the pain from a tight Psoas in your Lumbar (lower back) and give a link to some stretches. The psoas muscle is located in the lower lumbar region of the spine and extends through the pelvis to the femur. It works by flexing the hip joint and lifting the upper leg towards the body. An example of the movement from this muscle is walking. I come acr...oss this scenario a lot.
