21.01.2022 Hi All, I came across Yuki and he needs to find a new loving home. He is a big (48kg), beautiful, 18 month old, American Bulldog. His current circumstances are changing and he cannot stay with his current owner. Yuki has a lovely demeanour at home but has not been socialised with kids and does not get along with other male dogs. As a trainer I would be happy to help with his training needs in order to get him past these issues. The price includes 10 in-home training sessions and any equipment required for his training. His ideal home will be pet free and children free. I believe he will be a fantastic addition to the right home! For more information please PM me!

15.01.2022 Quick tip! If your fur mates are not listening as well in public, it may be due to the masks. Address this by simplifying tasks and rewarding earlier. Then build back up to their usual level of ability!! It is new for all of us!Quick tip! If your fur mates are not listening as well in public, it may be due to the masks. 14.01.2022 Hi All, I Have an absolutely beautiful Blue Staffy that NEEDS a forever home ASAP. Luna is great with people and reasonably tested with children; never having any issues with kids or adults whatsoever. Her only issue is her insecurity around other dogs. She is very nervous and protects herself with aggressive responses to other dogs (further training is vital to her success) . Luna's adoption will come with 4 in home training session and all of her training equipment. This beautiful girl deserves a second chance and I hope to fine someone willing to put in the time and effort to give her a long and happy life. Please contact me for any further information.

14.01.2022 !!!Training Tip!!! The Present Tense Rule... Only acknowledge behaviours when you can describe them in the present tense. If you can say it HAPPENED in the past (Lucie ATE the shoe, Boof WAS sitting) it is no longer relevant and should be disregarded. If it is HAPPENING NOW (Lucie IS eating the shoe, Boof IS sitting) then it is reasonable to take action.... If you miss the opportunity to reinforce or discourage a behaviour, simply disregard that it ever happened and wait for the next opportunity! See more

14.01.2022 Controlling a high energy dog is NOT about suppressing behaviours! It's about adding impulse control and making that energy work for you in a more civilised manner!!

13.01.2022 EDIT: Since sharing this post it has been brought to my attention that CCTV footage shows 3 dogs agressively approaching the woman with her child and staffy. The woman climbed onto picnic tables to get away from them while her staffy took on all three, eventually killing the dachshund. (According to channel 10 news after reviewing the footage). I am sharing this story with all of you because this is a topic which frustrates me beyond comprehension. A woman has spread a horror... story on social media about a staffy attacking her dachshund and killing it. She neglected to inform the public that her dog, along with 2 others, got out of her property and ran up to the staffy and it's owner on the footpath. The staffy was on lead and fully abiding by the rules. The staffy ended up killing one of the 3 dogs in the end. This is a sad sad story for all involved. The poor dachshund should never have had this happen to it, however, the blame is somehow being placed on the staffy and it's owner among the social media world. That is largely due to the perception of terrier breeds and it is unacceptable. Many of my clients have reactive dogs that are working through issues. It is through my experience with these dogs that I have seen an enormous amount of irresponsible owners who have their dogs off lead and with no control. Whether it is an on lead area, or an off lead area, your dog should NEVER run up to a dog on lead without the owners permission, or any dog for that matter. If it does then you are putting the life of your dog at risk and you need to accept the responsibility for what happens. Don't go doing the wrong thing and then get upset when something bad happens because of it. There is a great saying that applies to this situation. "Play stupid games, win stupid prises" If you don't want to have bad things happen, make sure you follow the rules and hopefully you won't run into an irresponsible owner that causes problems for you. If you do want to ignore the rules and take unnecessary risks, accept the consequences of those actions and don't point the blame. And thank you to all of the responsible owners out there that are dping the right thing. It is much appreciated. https://pakenham.starcommunity.com.au//dog-mauled-in-pake/

11.01.2022 Good breakdown of social rules in dogs at play!

11.01.2022 Hi All, I have been fostering this big, beautiful Rotweiller Named Viper for over a year. I have decided that it is in his best interest to move on to a home where he can have someone who is able to give him the focus he deserves. Viper is three and a half years old. He came to me because of resource guarding issues and being over protective of his previous property and owner. It was just a bit more than they could handle so I took him on, unsure whether I would be able to ke...ep him, or if I would move him into a more suitable home. It has come time to do just that. Viper is quite good on lead and has a few strong obedience commands. He loves to cuddle and is well behaved in the house or yard. In saying that, he has at times decided to steal things in the yard for a bit of a play. He is very high drive for a Rotti and loves a game of fetch or tug, both of which he needs on a regular basis in order to satisfy his drives. He is an entire male and a very dominant dog. This means he does not get along with other males. He is however, very good with female dogs. He is loyal and sticks around my property with no desire to explore past his territory. I have not seen him interact with children, nor would I test him in that sort of scenario. There is no good reason to put him or a child at risk. I am VERY particular when it comes to rehoming a dog and I stick to my criteria 100%. The ideal household for viper is as follows. If you do not meet these criteria, I am sorry, but you will not be considered. - reasonably large yard in a lower density area - no children (It is just not worth the risk in my opinion) - female dog is okay if reasonably sized (no males) - not looking for someone who wants to take him to cafes, parks, and other public forums where many dogs, children and people will be out and about. - he is an ideal deterrent dog for around the house due to his strong presence. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send a direct message. There will be a fee of $1800 if you are the chosen applicant. And if you did not read this far, you are probably not in the running!! If you did, thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Source Number: EE110833 Micro Chip: 953010001293945
