19.01.2022 Just like the recent retro round of the V8 Supercars Master Brakes has had a little retro week in the workshop. First in was a 1968 Ford Mustang for a complete brake overhaul comprising of a four piston caliper and slotted rotor set up for the front as well as new shoes, wheel cylinders and drums on the rear. The previous brake job had a poor fitting caliper conversion that overhung the disc causing noise and poor braking performance. The rear shoes were also rubbing in the wrong places causing the brakes to lock up occasionally, scary stuff!

10.01.2022 Next in we had a Shelby AC Cobra replica which had a problem with the front wheels locking up after a short drive. We diagnosed the problem as a sticking brake master cylinder which we pulled apart and overhauled which resolved the problem.
