Location remains the same! ... From the Masters Championships, TOP 5 AUSTRALIAN RX athletes will qualify for the iF3 Masters World Championships in Portugal - June 2021 Test 1 14min AMRAP (for reps) Minute 1 Row for cals Minute 2 Bar facing burpees "As per standards, athletes are required to set rower to a 14 minute timer. Instructions are here: https://youtu.be/K8yPa-BnMHU From Rob "Don't be alarmed if you see the rower kick back to less calories. This is normal & will be the same for everyone. When you get off the rower the fly wheel is still going & the rower anticipates where the calories were or the average calorie target. As the rower slows, the monitor is ahead of itself & it will drop back to where it SHOULD have been the next time you get on the rower. If someone is going CRAZY on the rower & pulling at 2400 cal/hr then it may drop back even more because the wheel was spinning for so long after the rower handle stopped. The screen will show actual calories rowed at the end & not calories that are from a tick over from the flying wheel." 16.01.2022 These Novice Competitions have always been a hit with newcomers to the sport. Teaching not only about the intricacies of lifting, but how to prepare warm-ups leading to an awesome performance on the competition platform. Have you always been keen on learning more about how a weightlifting competition works or to learn how to be a comfortable competitor?... We are excited to have you join us to learn what's involved in a day of "competing"! Our novice competition is like no other. We intend to walk with you hand in hand through the competition, understanding the proceedings of the competition from your weigh-ins, to your warm-ups and even till the last lift of the competition. There will be coaches and lifters who will be available to help you through anything you may be unsure of as a competitor and help you get comfortable with the nerves and confusion related to your competition experience. This year, on top of the Novice division (both male and female), we will be running a Masters division (male and female) for our Novice comps. Another purpose of this series is not only to promote weightlifting competition to novices but also to provide more opportunity for Masters athletes to have competition experience or time on the platform. **Novice Division - For any individual who currently isn't a member of or has not been a member of any sanctioned federation for the last 2 years. **Masters Division - For any individual who is 35 years or above (based off the calendar year). Members of sanctioned federations are welcome to compete for more exposure. Format: We will still run this according to weightlifting regulations with 3 attempts in both the Snatch as well as the Clean and Jerk. Same rules apply to the proceedings of the competition. Scoring: All participants will be scored according to the Sinclair format (bodyweight coefficient) for the Novice Division and the Sinclair-Meltzer-Faber for the Masters Division. Cost: $40 per entry Time: 8am-2pm Dates: - 12th June (Invictus Fitness & Mixed Martial Arts) - 17th July (TG Strength) - 28th August (PerFit Health & Wellness) - 9th October (Crossfit Blackburn) - 20th November*** (Venue to be confirmed) ***At the end of the series, there will be a Final held on the 20th of November to allow the top 6 males and females of each division to come together and compete again. In order to qualify, one must have competed in 3 out of the 4 qualifying competitions and the best score out of the 3 will be ranked to determine the top 6 of each division. 06.01.2022 @crossfitgames season 2021 is out with a new format that looks great! . How does this fit in with your MastersHQ season? Well perfect really! .... MastersHQ Online begins April 15th. This date was chosen to give Masters athletes time to rest and recover after a big few weeks of competing in the CrossFit Games Open. MastersHQ always has our athletes best interest at heart so your recovery from the open is paramount for us before you kick into the MastersHQ Online. MastersHQ also offers a wildcard option for any athlete 30+ that makes it to the CFG Quarter Final or CFG Masters Qualifier. These athletes have the option to go straight into the semi final! (Proof of final standings must be emailed and approved by MastersHQ admin) . We are looking forward to a bigger,better and smoother 2021!!

SCORE Your score is the successful weight lifted for 8 Front Squat reps FRONT SQUAT Athlete must begin with empty bar Athlete can squat clean the first rep The front squat starts with the bar on the ground (racks are not permitted) The rep is complete when the athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended and the bar is resting on the shoulders in the front rack position with the elbows in front of the bar. The athlete can then begin their next rep Athlete must not rack the bar in between reps The hip crease must be below the top of the knee at the bottom of the squat.
