You’re going along, doing your thing, then one day you start chatting with someone else who started at the exact same time as you, and you start COMPARING your results.. You did WHAT? You LOST !??! ..... and you made HOW MUCH? NOW how do you FEEL? Well if you have done BETTER than the person you’re chatting to, you might feel pretty GOOD! But at the same time, you COULD be tempted to take your foot ‘off the pedal’ so to speak and NOT achieve what you actually could have! BIG Mistake! But what if you HAVEN’T done as well as your friend? COMPARING yourself could leave you thinking, I might not be cut out for this! May have you wanting to give up! HUGE mistake! It’s all about planting the seeds One thing you learn when you first start growing veggies from seed, is that they all sprout at DIFFERENT rates. Lettuce seeds can surface the very next day, what CHAMPIONS! But if you are expecting your pumpkin seeds to do the same, you will be sadly disappointed! They are ALL different! And that’s okay! Pumpkins my be slow getting off the mark, but once they get going, they can take over your whole back yard ....... what CHAMPIONS! So! The MORAL of the story?? NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF WITH SOMEONE ELSE! YOU are different, you are YOU, and like NOBODY else! And that’s PERFECT! Sure, you can get ‘inspiration’ from others, ‘learn’ from other’s ‘successes’ and ‘failures’, but ALWAYS stay in your OWN lane! RUN your own RACE and you will ALWAYS end up a WINNER! Love & Grace!

21.01.2022 HEALTH TYPE - SWITCH OFF How do you 'switch off'? Taking time out to ‘switch off’ from the stresses of day to day life is an important piece of wellbeing, however it doesn’t just have to be achieved through meditation, and interestingly, the different HealthTypes will have a preferred way to down regulate after a stressful day.... Take for example the Activator, built to move and flying high on adrenaline and testosterone. For this type, it is best to find ways of releasing tension that has been building throughout the day through working out, hitting a boxing bag or even some light walking/stretching if feeling too exhausted for anything strenuous, movement is meditation for this type! For Connectors, spending time with friends and family provides a much needed hit of oxytocin which can induce anti-stress effects such as lowering blood pressure and cortisol, 2 very important considerations for this type. Sensors, being the most neurologically active will benefit from sensory deprivation. So time in solitude, meditating and other ways of removing sensory overload will be key to restoration of the nervous system for this type. The excitement comes from eroticizing rejection - it feeds that part of us that still feels like have something to prove.... Prove we’re lovable or worthy. That we are so special that we can change someone’s mind or behaviour. But that excitement you feel is also draining your energy and soul-sucking on so many levels. When we abandon ourselves for someone who’s undeserving of our energy, our inner-child is usually hurting deeply and feeling afraid to be alone. It's ok to walk away when your heart isn’t being cherished, honoured or supported. We're all going to have days where we show up as the worst version of ourselves. But at the end of the day, we all deserve to be with someone who we know is in our corner. Someone who loves us on the hard days and treats the relationship as sacred. Any time we waste chasing someone to give us love, there’s an unmet internal need for love and nurturance toward our inner-child. You don’t need someone else to reflect back your wounds without being willing to heal with you. You don’t need someone to trigger all of your insecurities by treating you like an after-thought or avoiding intimacy. It might feel unnatural to let go of this type of connection because you’re breaking a very old pattern you might even find it boring to move towards love that doesn’t trigger you. Don’t worry, this doesn’t make you crazy, it means you really want to heal. And to heal, you have to practice letting healthy love in. Healing occurs as you sever your addictions to shadow relationships and move toward people who hold you in your highest light. Healing comes from doing Self-acceptance work and making the relationship with YOU and your inner-child the number one relationship in your life. And healing occurs from understanding yourself and your true nature in relationship.

Letting go of the past..... Letting go of reactions and habits.. Letting go of how your life ‘should’ be.. Letting go of judgements.. Although in letting go, the true joy and beauty of life unveils itself. You will eventually start experiencing situations & relationships of depth and true connection. During lockdown I have personally struggled with letting go my illusion of control and certainty. My planner and strong desire of always ‘needing to be right’ in all situations.. There have been plenty of tears, shedding my old identity’s and leaning into embracing living in the unknown. In the unknown is where everything lies.. Remember letting go of expectations and trusting that whatever we are experiencing is seeing our spiritual evolution perfectly. It truely is an act of self love to embrace our feelings and ride the waves.

It's not clinking champagne glasses at fancy brunches or wearing matching shirts on a beach in Florida. That all is nice and fun and good and special, but it's not what it's about, not at all. The real honor of friendship is being invited into someone's REAL. It's getting an invitation into the nitty gritty, the not-so-pretty, the hard stuff, the vulnerable stuff, the weird stuf...f, the unpolished stuff. It's being welcomed into a home where the sink is full of dishes and the laundry is covering the couch. It's entering the places of heart ache and pain. It's being invited to the hospital room when your friend is still in her mesh underwear from birth. It's sitting crosslegged in old sweats on the floor and laughing till you cry. It's carrying around secrets that you've been trusted to keep. It's listening and hearing. It's holding space for each other. It's answering phone calls just to talk something through. The highest honor of friendship isn't found in beautifully planned events or brightly filtered photos. The highest honor of friendship is messy and dingy and real. It's in unfiltered photos of laughing so hard your double chin is showing. It's loving each other's babies and holding each other while you ugly cry. I can't stress this enough: If you've been invited into even one person's real, you are blessed. Cherish it.

What are your physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs? ... It is vital to remember that your own self care plan will be unique to your individual needs and will evolve with life’s challenges and transitions. Perhaps tell your friends and family you are setting aside some ‘me’ time. Take the challenge to honour yourself and listen to what is essential for your own spiritual, emotional and physical needs. Find some time to be still and breathe deeply, become the master of your attention and ask yourself these questions: Physical wellbeing: When I think about the quality and amount of food I eat, am I supporting my body’s nourishment needs? When I think about the level and variety of physical activity I engage in, am I supporting my functional movement? When I wake in the morning do I feel rested from a quality sleep? Emotional wellbeing: When I review my day and my week do I feel that I have clear boundaries that are respected by friends, family and work colleagues? Do I have an authentic support network that will assist me to overcome obstacles in life? Am I in control of my own responses and do I listen to my own inner voice? Spiritual wellbeing: When I stop and listen to my inner voice, do I feel I have a connection with myself? Do I have purpose and meaning in my life? Do I love life? 06.01.2022 Restorative Yoga - Self love practice Legs up the Wall is a restorative yoga pose, perfect for helping to bring a sense of calm, and refreshed energy; best practiced after a busy day, and/or during times of stress and challenge. "Viparita Karani" translates from the Sanskrit to mean, "Reversed Action Pose", which has been further interpreted as, "The Fountain of Youth". It is thought to wind back the hands of time".... To practice, you will need only a blank wall, and perhaps a folded blanket or two. The folded blanket/s can be placed on the floor, with the edge against the wall, as a soft support beneath your sacral area, as you lay on the floor with your bottom close to or against the wall, and your legs elevated, resting on the wall in a vertical, or almost vertical position. With a bit of practice, you will find the easiest way to move into this position. While in the pose, you might like to rest your hands on your belly, close your eyes, gently draw your chin towards your throat (lengthening the back of your neck), and breathe deeply into your belly, relaxing through your lower back and the backs of your legs with each exhalation. Stay for up to ten minutes. This pose will gently stretch the backs of your legs, and works on the circulatory and nervous systems. Restored energy and enhanced inner peace may come as a result. The road to success isn't a straight line; it's an up and down battle filled with dark and challenging times. If you don't develop the habit of learning from your failures and constantly adjusting your game plan then you'll never be able to level up and reach your goals.... Success isn't one perfect action after another; it's trying, failing, learning and doing a little bit better each time. That's how you achieve the things you want, by using the past as a lesson so that you’re better prepared moving forward. So go out there and be prepared for obstacles and failings, its all part of it. The magic comes from who you grow into along the way.
