Weigh in can be done Sat morning between 7am-11am or on the day. Event times are an estimate. If you are not ready on time for your match you will be disqualified. Only band holders are permitted on the inside of the premises. These being Coaches/ Officials/ Volunteers/ Competitors at the times that they are required to be in the building.... Names need to be nominated by end of business tomorrow. Registration desk will delegate correct bands, take temperatures and control entrants. The toilet will be available to use enter via back entrance. All spectators can watch from all the roller doors and all events will be in view from the outside. Marquees will be provided for shade. Please note that the car park will be closed off for spectators. 16.01.2022 Marty's journey to black belt has not been an easy or straight forward one. He has overcome so many obstacles that have been thrown at him. Marty was sadly diagnosed late last year with bowel cancer which has spread through his body. He made the decision to keep training through his chemo treatment with his doctors and families support. We us instructors, team mates and as a club made a promise to help make sure he was ready for his black belt. Marty wanted no special treatme...nt at all and never wanted the belt just given to him. Well he earned it, he pushed himself and his body to its limits. A very emotional but inspiring journey that displayed nothing but the black belt mindset and attitude. He refused to give up, he persevered the whole way through. Along the way he also stopped a few people quitting as when they looked at him still training despite how sick he was, put their excuses into perspective and inspired others to keep going. It just goes to prove that if you put your mind to something and make it a priority you will achieve it. Congratulations Marty you are one of our most inspiring Hapkido black belts. Much respect to you. This is also why you were awarded with the Indomitable spirit award for 2020.

She also made it to the final of her weight division in Gi and lost out on the bronze medal. 8 fights in total today Igor placed Gold in both No Gi & Gi with a super effort. Harry got some awesome rolls in his massive round robin but didn’t place.

09.01.2022 A few years ago Mrs Shantal & Master King decided to trial KMA Champion Kids Hapkido in Brisbane. A few of our existing students who were already part of the club put up their hand to participate in the trial. Although many still train Dylan Livingstone with his previous martial arts experience has now become our first ever Champion Kids Hapkido Jnr Black Belt. A very special moment in our clubs history. All made possible by his Nan who brings him to training like clockwor...k. He rewarded her with a rose. Your Instructors are very proud of you.

02.01.2022 The lovely Ester from Adults Taekwondo is now volunteering her time to help assist in the children’s Taekwondo & Little Dragons Programs. She is a lovely caring young women who enjoys supporting children. Ester has competed in both Fighting and Poomse competitions in Taekwondo so she has a knowledgeable understanding of her martial art. Ester is also aspiring to be a doctor one day and has very strong study ethics. Thank you Ester we are blessed to have such a strong female roll model in our club like you
