20.01.2022 So it's a cold and miserable Sunday...time for some comfort food.....it's been a while since we've had a free Sunday so baking here we come.....Always like to d...o a few extra dishes to help the wife out during the week....made a Pastisio then with the extra bechamel made a Vegetable bake.... Thru together a big bowl of Singapore noodles to last the week...also had some Bananas turning Dark so and some leftover yogurt so made a Banana bread for the kids... credit goes to my beautiful wife for having the mince and pasta ready for the Pastisio really made my life easier.... 08.01.2022 I remember when we were in Greece in 1988 and we regularly went to a Greek Taverna, where there was a chef called Marco and he would make a Stifado with spaghetti that was amazing...I found some nice beef cheeks so I got inspired to try and re-create that amazing taste....and here it is my taste buds are taking a nostalgic trip back 27 years to that little taverna in Neos Smirni in Athens.... Wonder if it's still their?

08.01.2022 So I had an amazing pork burger at a Portuguese restaurant last week and the flavours were so simple yet amazing....it was grilled pork with chilli and butter....a simple combo of flavours I have not used before....so I am at home and found some beautiful pork loin in the fridge.... then Lo and behold I find some fennel in the crisper ... on comes the inspiration.....grilled pork on a bed of quinoa with braised fennel finished with chilli and butter....simply amazing....

07.01.2022 After making a simple pizza dough from yogurt and flour I thought loaf of bread here we go....each photo is a step simple as....mix all in 500 flour 500 yogurt two sachets yeast...mixer..dough hook....start slow high for 5 mins....prove 30 mins punch.......mould.....45 minutes....score.....bake till brown....eaten before I could take final shot....delish....
