Finalising end of year tasks or holiday shopping are perfect examples of that! A lot of people wait until half way through December and then try to fit everything into the last few days of the year. Instead, Keep it simple! Plan to do at least one task each day and break up shopping trips too. It might be easier to shop for one or two people on your list each day. The idea here is to have fun buying gifts for others instead of feeling like a chore, or finishing work for the year feeling energised for the holidays.

01.01.2022 The Darkness behind Success Often when people look at success, and especially successful people, the rose coloured glasses seem to almost always appear. The notion that somehow it has all been easy for that person. That everything they did just worked and they had it all come on a silver platter. Yeah right! That is the distortion that we all tend to place on success. Now for the reality. Success doesn’t just happen overnight.... It has been most likely years in the making, however what we see is just a blink on the most recent part of the journey. A journey filled with ups and downs. Failure has been riddled through the journey, the obstacles, the hurdles The only difference is that at each step there was a choice, give up or find a way. The hours of stress and worry on how to make it work, am I good enough, do I know enough, the feelings of hopelessness of what to do next. You see you don’t know what you don’t know and if you have never learnt something (yet) than you don’t know you even need to. Success can be lonely. Along the way, people will come and go in your life. Some will attach to you because they see the glory, and want to ride it with you, however you can be left questioning are they really a friend? Often people will knock what you are doing, and this can be a projection of their own fears, inadequacies, or lack of follow through on their own goals and desires. Choosing the people in our lives who add value to our lives can result in a very small circle of people. Success takes dedication. It means making choices. The choice of watching that show on Netflix, or reading that novel, OR spending the time planning and implementing strategies. It means constantly learning and getting out of your comfort zone. Success is the long road, the road of endurance, the one that will challenge every aspect of who you are and why you do what you do. Only if you endure that road and maintain focus on your goals, your purpose, will you reach success. Allow yourself to enjoy your time with family and friends, or however your choose to spend it. Don’t sabtaoge your day by being distracted with things that can’t be changed in that moment.
