25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Coogee Randwick relay team of Carol , Margaret , Paul and Sjaak who won the relay by swimming closest to their nominated time . They nominated 2.42 and swam 2.41.51, very closely followed by the North Sydney team . Well done to everyone and thanks for making the Back to the Future meet so much fun

22.01.2022 Dear masters swimming community, The National Board of Management (NBM) of Masters Swimming Australia (MSA) in conjunction with the organising committee of the 2021 Masters National Swimming Championships regrettably advise that the 2021 National Championships scheduled to take place in Darwin between April 30 May 4 will be cancelled. As a direct result of the COVID-19 restrictions, State border closures and heavily restricted travel, and uncertainty of when and where outbr...eaks may occur, it was considered necessary to cancel next year’s event. We would like to thank our members across Australia who have been training with the 2021 Nationals in sight. Keep swimming! MSA and the National Swim Meet Committee will work together with the Branches to develop a special month of swimming next year to further connect our membership while raising awareness and funds towards mental health. We would like to acknowledge the support of our event sponsors and partners and thank the organising committee of the 2021 Nationals, for their hard work and dedication. This is something we have to expect may happen in the next few months due to changing outbreaks. While it is disappointing we are must keep our members safe. We will keep organising meets when we can and they will only go ahead if and when the time is right. We all need to be patient, safe and enthusiastic. 20.01.2022 Due to the unstable nature of the COVID cluster in Western Sydney the CAMPBELLTOWN BPS meet has been cancelled. We understand that this is disappointing but the safety of our swimmers is paramount. We will update you on refunds etc. once the office re-opens.... Lets focus on the next scheduled BPS meet which is at MYALL on 13th February. COVID may impact us from time to time but it won't stop us

Thank you to Peter McGee for organising and planning with Jillian and thanks to coaches from Wett ones , Blacktown , Myall , Cessnock , North Sydney ( all the way from Canada ) , Manly , Warringah , Pirates , Ryde and Hills who all entered into a lively discussion with great ideas . 07.01.2022 This year has been a difficult one but its how we all come together and support each other that counts. Well done everyone. Masters Swimming NSW has made the difficult decision to cancel all Branch Championships for the remainder of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes LC Champs at AIS and LD Champs at Lidcombe.... On a more positive note, Woy Woy will go ahead as planned so make sure you are registered as there are only 65 spots available (half full already). Also pencil in a social meet at Ryde on the 29th August. More updates on additional social swim meets will follow.

05.01.2022 Pirates have organised a family day on Sunday 16th May as our contribution to Mental Health month. We will meet at Milsons Point Station at 1pm . Walk across the harbour bridge . Head to the Rocks . Enjoy crocodile and kangaroo pizza at the Australian and then wander up to Observatory Hill to appreciate our beautiful city and afterwards head home ( or wherever you wish ) Apart from connecting with friends and family we thought we could make a donation to the black dog institute based on the average number of steps per family group . Heres the rules: Ensure your training sessions have no more than 20 members, plus the instructor and any assistants, per space that complies with one person per 4 square metres. There may be multiple classes in a pool if there is sufficient space to accommodate this and the squads remain separate. Ensure participants maintain 1.5 metres physical distance where practical.
