06.01.2022 One of the Cleanest 124 Spiders we have ever had come into the shop and this engine swap is now complete We started by removing the lazy 1800cc engine and sourced a 2000cc engine to put in the place and wow it makes a massive difference with these cars. Along with the engine swap we installed electric ignition for better sparking on kick over. Another engine swap done and dusted for this Italian classic, this will be back later for twin side draft set up and suspension work

03.01.2022 Fiat 124 1800 in for sluggish performance and intimidate misfire Compression tested the engine found cylinders 1 and 4 really low on compression, once we removed the cylinder head we got a better picture of what is going on. The engine itself uses oil due to the amount of oil on the cylinder head walls, the blocked rear water jackets and blown cylinder head gasket at cylinder 4. ... Cylinder head is at the machinery shop getting it pressure tested and checked, all values, rings and bearings have been ordered
