23.01.2022 The Mataranka Bakery has made the Territory Q magazine (NT’s quarterly business magazine). Tracey and Jack, now our local residents, are baking on premise daily, baking fresh bread, sweets and of course the pies. A big thank you to Tracey and Jack for making Wendy’s dream come true; having an outback bakery servicing the remote communities with fresh goods daily.

06.01.2022 We celebrated 33 years of trading with an Around the world theme last night. The party was held on the newly enclosed deck and the boat cafe (at the rear of the roadhouse). Guests and staff wore traditional clothing from their home country or their families country of origin. There was a range of food selections from around the world too. ... It was a night to celebrate the 33 years of trading, the renovations, the new bakery and Wendy recognising and thanking Ros Pocock for her dedication to the community and also the staff’s efforts during covid. It was a late night for many as we chatted and also danced and sang the night away to the beats of DJ Uri.
