20.01.2022 Investment Fiji was part of a webinar focusing on the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in Fiji. Around 20 #BPO companies from Australia and New Zeala...nd were part of the exclusive session facilitated by Matchboard and supported by Market Development Facility. Investment Fiji CEO, Craig Strong gave an overview of the #BPO industry in Fiji and its value proposition as well as Government incentives for the BPO business set up. The webinar was joined by ANZ Bank Managing Director Pacific Operations, Mr Ritesh Singh who gave insights on the banking sector in setting up operations in Fiji and lesson learnt over the years. In 2018, a BPO council consisting of 14 members was established to create awareness internationally recognizing Fiji as a world class BPO destination. Fiji currently has a total of 11 BPO operators.

While rural Zimbabwean communities struggle with dilapidated schools and lack of access to books. Aussie Books for Zim (ABZ) is a charity that rescues books from Australian landfill to set up libraries and literacy programs in Zimbabwe. Their mission is to empower children and create brighter futures thro...ugh books. Since 2015, ABZ has shipped more than 100,000 books, set up 9 libraries and supported more than 20,000 individuals through its library programs. ABZ began the building of 2 more libraries in rural Zimbabwe in early 2021 with the support of the Australian Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe.
