25.01.2022 Fruit makes such a beautiful presentation for desserts. Lemon and coconut vegan cheezecake slice, with passionfruit topping and fresh berries. It plated up prettier than I expected :-)

23.01.2022 After a couple of weeks of less cooking over the school break we're back into it now. Two quick pics to share: 1. A meal box from last week (mini vegan hotdog, an apple, date and walnut muffin and selection of nibbles), and 2. Meal for a 'staff' meeting (Power bowl with rice and quinoa, roast veggies, homemade herb sausages and a pesto dressing, with a chocolate cake, berry and coconut yoghurt parfait for dessert). COVID rules have changed self serve options into pre-packed meals, which increases prep time, but more easily manages portion control and cleanup. :-)

21.01.2022 Another COVID friendly, pre-packed dinner: this time for the SA conference Elders consult yesterday. Pre-packing is good for portion control, and serving is a breeze, but it certainly ups the amount of packaging.

15.01.2022 Have you ever asked, or wanted to ask for the recipe for vegan Cheeze Mac? It is my most requested recipe, and now you have the opportunity to have it. I have teamed up with the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) to offer a virtual masterclass where I will share the recipe as well as some tips and variations. If you would like to get your hands on this recipe, use the link and book yourself a ticket for the November 4 Zoom Masterclass. All proceeds go to ADRA. https://events.humanitix.com/vegan-cooking-with-alison

13.01.2022 Don't forget the Cheeze Macaroni ADRA Masterclass on Zoom tomorrow evening. If you would like this recipe in your collection, now is your chance to get your hands on it. https://events.humanitix.com/vegan-cooking-with-alison

05.01.2022 This weekend Matchstic Productions is again going to be a part of the Prescott College Fete in Prospect. This is the 5th year of the fete and we have been at every one. Over the years we've offered a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, and this year we're keeping it simple with a range of pre-packed fresh salad and sandwich options to compliment the other food that will be on offer. Hope to see you there.

18.11.2021 This week's pre-ordered meal offerings: Roasted Sweet Potato with Mexican Beans and Vegan Cheezy Sauce. Potato and Cabbage Soup (stew might be more accurate) garnished with Smoky Tofu pieces.

05.11.2021 Something a bit different this week for a staff/student meal. A mini roll with grilled tofu and mustard pickles, korma pumpkin dip with crackers and chips; and for something sweet a carrot, sultana muffin with fresh fruit, and dark chocolate cherry bites. All in one convenient box!

31.10.2021 This week's food orders. Asian Style Power bowl with Soba Noodles, Vegetables, Tofu and Peanut sauce; Classic Pumpkin soup; and a Cranberry, Orange and Pecan Muffin.

14.10.2021 A recent catering job for a small wedding. COVIDsafe requirements meant that the nibble table had to be transformed into single serve nibble boxes; the main course buffet was all plated; and the dessert bar turned into dessert platters.

24.09.2021 Another pre-packed meal: Walnut roast and potato bake with vegies, garden salad (because salad is good for you - even in winter :-)), and apple crumble for dessert.

13.09.2021 Catering the COVIDSAFE way! No more 'help yourself' lunches for Minister's meetings (at least for a while), meals this week were pre-packed. Cheeze mac and veggies with a garden salad, and wholemeal blueberry muffin. We may have to do things a little differently for now, but small events have started to happen again :-)

31.08.2021 Looks like there won't be any events for a while - just about all my jobs for April and May have been cancelled :-( Will still try and cook for food orders when I can get ingredients though. Just wanted to share a picture of the sausages served as brekky at the Adelaide City Church Camp last week. They were pretty popular. While I didn't count, I am sure some people ate this much for their brekky!
