17.01.2022 Sporting Events: NRL Boys Gala Day Hardy Shield Parents/Carers are reminded that under the current CEDWW COVID-19 guidelines for Inter School Sporting Competitions -... "Schools need to ensure that parents/carers do not attend these events and adhere to the Covid safe restrictions." This means that parents will not be able to remain and watch as spectators or enter the playing complex.

Lunchtime entertainment consisted of the Senior races with the highly contested Pollacks Plate and Myers Cup. Congratulations to all our winners!... 16.01.2022 Year 12 Hospitality students recently put their culinary skills to the test in the annual Mater chef. Miss Hazelwood created a challenging menu for students to re-create. The complexity of the dishes and time constraints added some real pressure to the event. The judges were once again impressed with the quality of the processes and results the students displayed.

15.01.2022 7 As part of the reading lessons for Year 7 English, our year 7 students participated in a " Book Tasting" in the Resource Centre. Students were seated at tables and were able to "taste" a number of books during a timed session with the conclusion of selecting one at the end. ... This fun activity allows students to try novels before borrowing. They will have 5 weeks to read this book.

11.01.2022 Sports Update - Hardy Shield CSNSW has advised that for NSW Catholic Schools, Inter School Sporting Competition will be permitted between two schools in the same Local Government Area (LGA). Note: There is a maximum of 100 people at a venue at any one time (including staff). This will affect CWWHSSA draws.... For Hardy Shield, MDCC are still drawn to play KHS at 4:30pm. The match against MAHS has been moved to Monday 24th August with the Final still scheduled for Wednesday 26th August. With 2 games being played this afternoon (KCC vs WWHS and MDCC v KHS) schools are asked to limit attendance to 20 people (players and team officials) to remain under the 100 total limit at venues.

09.01.2022 As you might be aware, recent changes have occurred. Please see below changes for Mater Dei Catholic College in regards to "Keeping Schools COVID Safe". More information will be emailed to Parents / Carers as it comes to hand. What has Changed?... The following changes have now come in to effect: Vigilance in ensuring that students do not attend the College if they are unwell. Students absent or sent home due to flu like symptoms need to be tested. Students must NOT return to the College until they return a negative COVID-19 result and are symptom free. The College must sight the negative COVID-19 test result prior to allowing students to return.
